Hello, I'm Bob Bird, Chairperson of the Governing Body of Rawmarsh Children's Centre. It gives me great pleasure to take this opportunity to explain more about the Governing Body of our Centre. The main role of the Governing Body is to maintain and improve standards of the Children's Centre.
The Governing Body is made up of representatives of Staff, Parents and the Community as well as having some member appointed by the Local Education Authority (LEA).They are all volunteers who give up their free time to ensure that the Centre is managed effectively and to the benefit of children. The Governors collectively have various legal responsibilities and duties as set out by Central Government and the Local Education Authority.

It is very important that the Children's Centre works in positive partnership with parents and carers, as the most significant people in their child's life. You are your child's first and most enduring educators.
We therefore need your help to build on the foundations you have laid at home in order to help your child achieve success in their education and reach their full potential as modern, productive and caring citizens in our local and wider community.

We have a responsibility to report any concerns we may have regarding the welfare of children in our care to the local Social Services Department and to share information with partner agencies. We have a rigorous and robust recruitment process that gathers evidence about staff suitability to work with children.

Cannot say enough great things about the ladies here! 💗 I’ve always been an anxious parent and been worried to go anywhere with my son on my own. I decided to pluck up the courage and go to a boogie tots class and a couple of messy play days which were amazing for both me and my son. The staff were so welcoming and made me feel at ease and were so… approachable to ask any questions. Through the continuous lockdown they have been brilliant keeping in touch and doing extra things for the kids to be involved in, we’ve joined the boogie tots which was fun, and this afternoon

Excellent facility. My children all loved this nursery and enjoyed their time here. The staff teach the children rather than just letting them play but it's all in a fun way that kids love. By far the best nursery in the area. Staff are all friendly and helpful too. Even the head teacher greets the children as they arrive each day.
