I have many years experience teaching and playing the electric, acoustic, classical and bass guitar. I can cover a wide range of styles and techniques from beginner to advanced including Rock, Pop, Blues, Jazz, Acoustic, Classical, Soul and Funk.

I am a member of The Registry of Guitar Tutors and certified to teach up to diploma level, I also work for the RGT as an examiner, so if you want to study music theory or take a graded exam, I can help you with that too.I teach from my own purpose built teaching studio in my house, where I have a huge library of teaching resources which are provided free with the lessons.
Services
I can hire you a good quality beginners guitar (electric or acoustic) that will get you started with the lessons. Generally speaking, beginners tend not to know what they are looking for with their first instrument, and quite often buy a guitar that is not well suited to their requirements (easy to play, stays in tune etc).
I have been performing, recording and teaching music for the past 20 years. I currently play in a range of different bands (Blues/Rock, Folk/Acoustic, Soul/Funk, Jazz) and perform regularly all over the UK. I am a member of The Registry of Guitar Tutors and I work for them as an examiner in electric, acoustic and bass guitar up to diploma level.
I tailor each lesson to the students needs. This can be structured, where we follow a grade syllabus in preparation for an exam or more adhoc where I teach the specific techniques or songs that you want to learn to play. I have a large collection of musical ideas and exercises that introduce students to new styles of playing in an interesting and informative way.
So here's how to get to me. The easiest way, if you are travelling from outside Cambridge, is to take the Horningsea (B1047) turn-off from the A14 and head towards Cambridge on Ditton Lane (shown on the map). Just before the turning onto Newmarket Road there is a Cemetery on your left. Turn right at the traffic lights onto Newmarket road and then over the roundabout and then turn right at the B&Q traffic lights.
