This review is based solely on the Xmas party of 2021 and nothing at all based on the golf or its grounds which I'm sure are lovely.
So.. Where to begin. The food. I have tasted better canteen food when I was back at school and that is saying something. The food was bland, it was beyond small in portions and the hot food was more a tepid warm. The prawn cocktail had pretty much no cocktail and seldom any prawn. The turkey with trimmings was exactly as it says it was.. I won't go into detail but it was the best worst food out of the lot. The bread and butter pudding I had was undercooked and gloopy

Excellent course in beautiful surroundings, reasonably challenging and with perfectly manicured fairways and greens. Also, one of the "1890 Club" courses meaning members of affiliated courses that also opened in 1890 get green fees at approximately 1/3 rates.

The Course was in very good condition. Each of the 9s are different and demanding. The Greens as good, if not better, than anything I’ve played on for several years.
