I finally got my own pony when I was eleven-a shetland named Bashful-who taught me to ride. I sadly got too big for her and for four years my equine partner was Midnight, a lovely, kind pony who continued with my education. Unfortunately when I started uni and left home I couldn't afford to keep a horse so had to take a break.
My next horse was Wenamun, bought in 1998 at Stow fair. He was only eighteen months old and a bit of a handful but it was OK as long as we were doing what he wanted (eating or standing still) but by the time he was ten his behavior was so bad people were telling me he should be put to sleep. That was when I found Parelli Natural Horsemanship.

We can all experience behavioural issues with our horse or pony, whether they be small things which we would like to improve, or bigger issues which are getting in the way of our enjoyment or progress. I love Witney Pony Partners, not only does it teach natural horsemanship to my children it also gives them enormous confidence and a sense of well-being.
My son is autistic and I can’t say I have experienced any negativity towards him, in fact he has really thrived since he has been having lessons here, the instructors are very caring towards him and he loves coming here.

I can’t imagine a better riding school than Witney Pony Partners. I have one disabled child and one who started as a very anxious insecure little girl. The team have built confidence and skill with both girls, and are teaching not just riding and horsemanship but communication skills, respect, consent and empathy. Every member of staff I’ve met here over several years has been superb and my children’s individual needs have been met and exceeded. Other riding schools refused to even consider my disabled daughter but here she’s thrived and progressed. It’s not fancy or pretentious but it’s
