Services
Let's start with Henry Stoye, Farm Manager though generally more interested in crops and machines than animals. Without Henry, the place would grind to a halt. No problem is insurmountable, once he has deliberated in his idiosyncratic manner.
In his arable team are: Andrew Burtenshaw, who joined the farm in 1983, and can turn his hand to most things on a good day, but specialises in grain storage and cow feeding for much of the year, then there's Daz, who once was the fastest sprayer man in the West, but is now reformed, loves ploughing and driving his vintage car.

We work our beautiful farm for the benefit of our animals and for wildlife, improving the landscape and soil, and creating interesting, fun and satisfying jobs at the same time. We stay true to our pioneering spirit. Creating space on the farm where great ideas can grow. And we produce organic food from all this.

Eastbrook and Lower Farm together cover some 1500 acres, in a long thin strip running from the top of the Marlborough Downs down to the heavy clay land of the Vale of the White Horse. We may be only half a mile wide, but it's five miles from top to bottom.
With the ancient trail of the Ridgeway dissecting the farm, and lots of footpaths too, it's a great place to walk, ride and cycle across wonderful countryside, with heaps of wild flora and fauna, and all our fabulous livestock to admire too.Our family has farmed at Eastbrook for 67 years, courtesy of our landlords, the Church of England.

So much of my life has been spent learning, then championing a better life for these intelligent creatures. If we want to eat meat, then we should ensure that animals not only avoid suffering, but have some fun too. Each sow will give birth (farrow) to around 10 piglets every 6 months. Before they farrow, they move into a small paddock with plenty of clean grass, and they will build a nest with straw in their mobile house (arc).

Visited the shop for the first time the other day and bought some wonderful local produce. The Cake was demolished pretty quickly as it was just delicious and if you want a cake ‘quick fix’ this is the place to go. They also service wonderful coffees. The chorizo made a superb chicken paella and rice dish that we had last night and the depth of flavour of the Chorizo made such a difference. The minced beef was used for cottage pie, again just wonderful quality meat. Also, thank you so much Ladies for introducing me to Rays Ice-Cream which is beyond wonderful! First tasting last night and I
