We are professional yacht surveyors - Accredited members of the Yacht Designers and Surveyors Association (YDSA), Members of the Royal Institute of Naval Architects (RINA), Full members of British Marine Surveyors Europe (BMSE), and authorised MCA Coding and Tonnage Measurement surveyors. We work independently for our clients to the highest industry standard providing the following service around the UK, Europe, and Worldwide.
The MCA requires all small vessels (up to 24 m) operating commercially to comply with the Small Commercial Vessel Code. This is known as MCA Coding and must be carried out by an authorised surveyor on behalf of a Certifying Authority. UK Yacht Surveyors is authorised by the YDSA and MECAL Certifying Authorities to conduct these surveys.

I have used the service of UK Yacht Surveyors last September as part of a pre-buy survey of a Dufour Grand Large 425.
The survey delivered by Jonathan Massey was extremely detailed with all the key areas thoroughly inspected. The report provided was very comprehensive with an identification of all the issues that had to be promptly addressed. Being in the process of aquiring the sailboat from abroad, the quality of the survey and the support of Jonathan was of outmost importance to sucessfully closing the deal.

My brother and I are currently in the process of buying our first boat.
