At Miah's we believe there is absolutely no substitute for quality. This is why we only choose the freshest vegetables and the finest cuts of meat to prepare our dishes. Every meal including take-away is cooked fresh to order and it is made to suit your tastes. We encourage you to speak to your waiter and let them know your personal requirements.
If you want a chicken Korma with added chillies or just that little extra coriander in your Bhuna, just ask and we can arrange this. We would ask for your patience when dining at Miah's, as we believe our attention to detail will be worth waiting for. Our Pangbourne & Spencer's Wood restaurants are fully licenced and serve a wide range of beers wines & spirits that can be enjoyed with your meal or when waiting to collect your take-away.

Services
Miah's Pangbourne Tandoori Restaurant has a reputation for offering the highest quality Indian food and service plus a comfortable and relaxed environment to enjoy your meal. You will dine in air-conditioned comfort and there is a bar area where you await your table or take-away. In our tastefully decorated dining rooms we can accommodate celebrations for larger groups or an intimate table for two.
All our take away meals are cooked fresh to order so we ask for your understanding as great food takes time. However we aim to have orders ready for collection in 30 minutes or delivered within 60 minutes. Once you have completed your order proceed to the checkout where you can pay by credit or debit card.
The Miah's family moved to England in 1961 from what was known as East Pakistan, now Bangladesh. Mrs Miah (Mamma Miah), always accompanied by her mother (Grandmamma Miah), as an accomplished cook, would prepare meals for her 8 children (6 brothers and 2 sisters) every day. The family recipes had been passed down through the generations, with each one adding a new twist to the traditional Indian cuisine.

Over the years I have many take aways from various Indian, Chinese or Thai restaurants. I don't know if Miahs has changed it's chef, but something has changed. Miahs in Pangbourne IS by far the BEST takeaway in the Reading area. Full of taste not overly hot but you know its there, but the flavours and layers of the other spices come through. As tasty as Atol Kultcher restaurant in Marlow

Disgusting service made an order at 6.15 pm and was told it would be delivered no later than an hour , at 8.00pm the management came up with excuse after excuse and then completely cancelled my order as he suggested I was not understanding. Errrr hello . Was rude dismissive and blatantly arrogant , never at once apologised for being extremely late , just over talked my voice and cut me off

Second time we've ordered a delivery take away and each time it's been the same. Last time we ordered it for 8pm and it arrived about 7.23pm and this time we ordered for 7.30pm and it arrived 7.05pm. Clearly the time request makes no difference.
As before, the food was only slightly warm, and the naan bread was almost cold. Poppadums were stale so we didn't eat them.
The restaurant clearly waits until it's got enough orders to deliver in one go, regardless of how long ago the meals were cooked and how long they've been sitting going cold while waiting to be delivered.
The food's nice enough

The service and food quality has really gone down hill over the last year. I placed an order to arrive at 8pm and it arrived over 50 minutes late and it was lukewarm. Mistakes can be made but what disappointed… me the most was that the management could not care less. Any compensation was refused and so I will not be ordering again.

Ordered from Miahs while we were still in Tier 3 for delivery. Order was over an hour late, couldn’t get through by phone, no response on social media. Had paid up front. Ended up driving down to collect order,… only to find out our food was sitting in back of a car waiting for further food to be cooked. I took it home, the food was cold and parts of the order incorrect. I followed up to complain the next day, and again, and again, and again. It took nearly two weeks for a member of management to call me back. “Jay(?)” offered me a £30 voucher which I begrudgingly

Brilliant food!
We opted for a takeaway from this restaurant on a Friday night when we couldn't be bothered cooking. We ordered a selection of starters, mains, rice and naan to share and I enjoyed all of it.
The mixed starter was a lovely way to try a few different dishes but not be too full before the main courses. There are no pakoras on the menu which I did find a bit disappointing, but it did make us try something else for a change.
We ordered a few different dishes (can't remember them all!) but we definitely had both the Butter Chicken and the Garlic Chicken and a Dahl, all were
