People are always quick to comment on bad experiences, as supposed to giving credit when due..... for a first visit... i have to say this is now in my top 10 resturants of all time. from food quality, to customer service and hospitality.. despite it being a quiet night on a sunday evening...

Absolutely recommended. My girlfriend is veggie and has a nut allergy but they accommodated so well. Staff have plenty of banter, was honestly one of the best experiences I've had out in years. Food was delicious and if you wanted more they brought you more no questions asked. Showed us how to use chopsticks properly too which was a disaster lol. Worth every penny.

I’ve been twice now and each time have left disappointed (and hungry!). Drinks come very quickly but no point doing the all you can eat as orders are taken very slowly and the courses come out even more slowly. You will just spend your whole evening trying to grab staff members to get some food. It’s not that they get overly busy; they just don’t seem to want you to actually eat!

China Palace was a good discovery for me. A quiet, classy Chinese restaurant, with reasonable prices. It's Cantonese through and through, from the entrance porch, to the tables and ambience.
Location maybe a bit tricky, depending on where you're coming from but whether it's a couples' or family outing, it's worth it.
Meals were well prepared and tasty. Not crowded like the traditional Chinese restaurants tend to be. The look and quality of the place is a lot higher than the expected cost of meals.
