A motorcycle licence entitles you to ride on the road without 'L' plates and enables you to carry a passenger and use motorways. For all licence tests, you will need to produce a valid CBT certificate and a valid motorcycle theory pass certificate, in all cases, the test is the same, the only difference is the size of bike that you train and test on.
In order to complete a CBT you need to produce a valid UK Licence (card only). If you have a European Licence you will also need to produce a D91 form which is issued by the DVLA. CBT is a continuous assessment and you will need to complete each of the elements to a satisfactory standard which simply means you need to demonstrate that you have adequate control of the motorcycle or moped, and you have a good understanding of how the roads work.
A 2 hour course completed after the CBT, to learn how to ride a manual 125cc motorcycle with gears. A course designed for riders who have already completed the CBT on an automatic scooter or wish to further develop riding with gears. Bottom of Form. 1 down 4 up, you'll learn how to safely and confidently ride a motorcycle with gears.
You'll learn how a motorcycle works; the controls, maintenance and safety checks you should conduct before riding including how to move and park your bike. The instructor will start from scratch and teach you the core skills of how to stop, start, turn and brake. You'll also learn the basic observations you should make and spend time learning clutch control and gear changing (on a manual motorcycle).
