The Nursery is an independent, registered charity, run by Trustees. Originally opening in 1999, the nursery now operates from our own, purpose built venue, for our 2-5 year olds. The facilities include a bright and welcoming hallway, in which sits the reception and nursery office and a disabled toilet.
Parent information and the book borrowing library can be found here. Our outside play spaces provide a range of opportunities for physical activity, exploration and learning through play, and are always accessible to the children. We aspire to be a community of excellence delivering outstanding opportunities, inspiring and enabling all children to reach their full potential.

However, to ensure a sense of comfort, security and exploration for all of our children, we structure our keyworker system as two teams, with staff and their key children working and playing in a dedicated end of the room, this helps the children to 'own' their space.

What is the Local Offer? When the Children and Families Bill was enacted in 2014, local authorities were required to publish and keep under review information from services that expect to be available for children and young people with SEND aged 0-25. The intention of the Local Offer is to improve choice and transparency for families.

I highly recommend this nursery. Absolutely Wonderful staff! My child struggled to settle at a previous nursery. When turned 2 years old I decided to make the change. 2 and a half years later, not a single regret. There were days my child didn't want to go home and wanted to stay at the nursery when it was home time... That's when I knew, that St.Thomas a Becket Nursery is PERFECT! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
