We are a private paramedic ambulance and first aid training provider owned and operated by registered paramedics with extensive operational experience gained from the London Ambulance and Essex / East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trusts. We provide emergency medical safety cover for elite sports professionals and other event activities.
As required by UK law our paramedics are registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Each registered paramedic is issued with a personal identification number that can be checked via the HCPC website. Medics24 Ltd was originally created to provide the organisers of sporting, corporate, and other leisure events with a highly skilled and flexible service. We are owned and operated by ambulance service professionals, who understand the importance of professional service delivery. We believe that the best people to provide an emergency response to incidents anywhere are those individuals who have been exposed to frontline 999 ambulance response.
We believe that the right people should deal with an emergency. The statutory emergency services use the best people available for a reason, and so do we. Dealing with a real emergency where a life could be at stake is one of the most challenging and stressful scenarios that one can face. When all eyes are upon you the personnel involved must be able to deliver.
Our paramedics are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are issued with a personal identification number. This number can be checked via the HCPC website. All paramedics in the UK must be registered to operate legally as the word 'paramedic' is a protected title. Paramedics are normally supported by emergency medical technicians as their effectiveness as a lone medic could be limited.
High value sports professionals need the best emergency care if the worst happens, to the same standards as provided by the 999 ambulance service. Medics24 will do this. Voluntary providers or those private services without the skill base provided by the 999 system may fall short when it really matters.
The Medics24 training department is paramedic led, and now presents a range of first aid training courses that commercial or individual clients will find a challenging and stimulating experience. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Approved 3-Day First Aid at Work Training Course provides training for qualification as a First Aider within the workplace under the guidance of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
