To potential pupils. I was hoping to be back at work earlier than this. However I've had an operation on my left foot and need more time to recover and prepare to start teaching again. I qualified as a DVSA approved driving instructor in 1997 and have been teaching driving to people in Stevenage and the surrounding towns and villages ever since.
I am an experienced, reliable and patient driving instructor who takes pride in enabling people to become both confident and competent drivers. I am told that I am particularly good at explaining things. This is a big plus because you will learn more quickly if lessons are easy to understand what you are doing and why you are doing it.

Services
This section gives a little more detail on the services I provide as a driving instructor. I will pick you up for your driving lesson from school, home or work and, at the end of the lesson, either return you there or to home, work or school. The only restriction to this is if your home, work or school is outside my catchment area.

My partner recently passed his driving test first time (with only three minor faults) after learning with Stephanie. He has only good things to say about her and the quality of his driving despite only just passing his test is very good. We have both been recommending Stephanie to everyone we know considering driving lessons.

Stephanie was my second instructor after I moved from Kent and was definitely the better of the two. I passed first time after 27 hours of lessons with Stephanie (39 in total.)
She is always on time, very organised, and has great tips for every driving technique, along with plenty of online learning materials.
Also, she’s very kind and pleasant to talk to. I’d recommended her to anyone.

To say I'm dissapointed is a huge understatement. I had booked my first lesson with Stephanie and was really excited as a friend had passed her test with Stephanie and had nothing but good reviews. Unfortunately Stephanie never turned up for my first lesson and after numerous texts and phone calls, I finally received a response 7 hours after the time I was allocated for the lesson. I was told that the appointment "didn't make it into the diary" despite it being booked two weeks in advance. I then asked her for her availability for the following week and I never received a response. As a first time

I am currently learning with Stephanie, and I dont recognise the person described by the anonymous clarendongirl at all. She is a stickler, but I would say that is probably the number one qualification for an instructor. I find her clear, encouraging and fab to work with. I wonder are you the person who did a runner on her recently without paying?

I would definitely recommend this instructor. She taught both my children who I know are now safe confident drivers. I am very thankful she taught safety first as they were going to have practise with us. Stephanie has a very good range of strategies to teach manoeuvres, taking all the stress out of these potentially difficult points. Her years of experience mean that she is worth listening to as to when you have reached test standard.

Would not recommend this driving instructor at all!!
I left this lesson feeling very upset and felt she had completely knocked my confidence in driving. I had a test booked and have had 40+ lessons before with another instructor. I got in the car and she was extremely negative and everything i did was wrong. Instead of her giving me constructive feedback she made me feel extremely nervous and even made me cry!!
I have now had to change my test due to being knocked in confidence and i had to walk out of the lesson half way through due to being so upset with how horrible she was.
