We believe that our operators are the company's representatives on site and as such we only employ the very best.
Excavators are heavy-duty construction machines that are mostly used for digging holes, trenches, and structural foundations. They're also used for forestry projects, handling materials, demolition projects, mining, driving piles, drilling shafts, landscaping projects, and much more. The operator sits inside of a rotating platform called "the house."
Midi Excavators are similar to mini excavators because of their rubber tracks and minimal tail swing. The difference is that midi excavators are mid-size machines which weigh anywhere from 10,000 pounds to 19,999 pounds. You can still use midi excavators in tight and narrow areas, but you will get a lot more power and performance out of them in comparison to the mini excavators.
If you need small and simple excavators, then mini excavators are the best. They are the second smallest excavators available and weigh under 10,000 pounds. The typical mini excavator includes a dozer and rubber tracks, which are all you need to move around and dig into the ground. Mini excavators are also the second narrowest excavators, which makes them perfect for fitting into the tightest of areas.
Micro excavators are even smaller than mini excavators. A lot of plant hire companies only have mini and midi excavators available. Bison Plant Hire prides itself in offering more variety than the average plant hire company. That is why you can find micro excavators available too. A micro excavator weighs between 2,500 pounds and 5,000 pounds.
