Hard skin on the feet and in particular, the heels, should not be considered 'normal'. If you have hard skin which frequently cracks and doesn't seem to get any better even though you apply cream, the chances are you have a fungal infection known as Tinea Pedis or Athlete's foot. Many people are aware of the condition arising between the little toes but it can affect the skin over the whole of the foot and cause embarrassing dry, flaky skin.
Podiatry (chiropody) is the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the feet and lower limbs. It is the medical discipline for the treatment of the many foot ailments from which we suffer today. These complaints are caused by a variety of factors including incorrect footwear, poor posture, occupational habits, gait or by deformity due to accident or disease.
Pain levels vary from person to person but most undergoing Swift liken it to a pain similar to an injection or sharp scratch, lasting 2-3 seconds then quickly subsiding. No change will be apparent immediately after the treatment but after a few days you may notice a difference. A minimum of 3 treatments are required, at a cost of 125 per session.

At last my painful feet have been sorted out so that I can walk like a normal person and no longer feel as though I have two claws! Jenney Klose sorted me out with orthoses, exercise advice, Shock treatment (well worth the money!) and referred me onto a lovely consultant for other problems. Jenney and her staff were unfailingly friendly, helpful and lovely. I would definitely recommend them!

I am a fit and healthy 31 year old. Prior to my £52 initial appointment I researched the possible treatment options and decided on cryosurgery. However, during the appointment I was told I could not have treatment on my heal as I needed to go away and have a think about it! After explaining that I had already researched it and was happy, I was referred to a second opinion to get the go ahead. This time I was told my skin was too thin for treatment at the moment and to come back when it was thicker. I walked out of the appointment while being invited back in a few days.
