Our smaller Compact double bedrooms have standard double 4ft 6 beds and are more suitable for a one night stay. The Corner House is a Victorian building with uneven levels and is spread over 3 floors and does not have a lift.
Just off J25 on the M5, The Corner House offers two versatile rooms within the heart of Taunton, perfect for events, meetings and conferences. The Function room holds up to 60 delegates whilst the Library is perfect for more intimate meetings and events. First time we ate there was in October off the main menu. Second time was in December off the Festive menu. Both times the food and service was excellent. The belly pork just falls apart, moist and full of flavour. As for the dessert, can't make my mind up which is the best. The Chocolate Brownie or the Sticky Toffee.

We held our wedding reception here. Emma, Rachel and Carlos were very attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly. The food throughout our stay was first class, especially the wedding breakfast. We can't praise them enough. Most of our guests stayed and were very happy with the very comfy beds. We also had a Sunday roast which was great the following day !! We will be back for our anniversary.

Despite a few issues with my booking (not the fault of the hotel) the response from the 2 receptionists was excellent. Both Jane and Emma did there best to make sure that everything was resolved. The room.was comfortable clean and had everything I needed. The breakfast was freshly prepared and of a good quality.
