Our Notary Public firm has been providing trusted Public Notary services for private and commercial clients in London, the United Kingdom and internationally since 2004. We act for blue-chip companies, private companies, entrepreneurs, charities and private individuals. We have built up the requisite experience to get you the correct result.

Every client matters. Our aim is to provide you with a quality service at a reasonable cost and to make, what may be for many, an unfamiliar, process, as easy and straight forward as possible. We also provide guidance on what may be required in addition to notarisation, so that documents are considered legal, when they reach their overseas destination.
Services
At Edward Young Notaries & Lawyers, we are passionate about helping our clients navigate international legal matters. We try to simplify the process of Notarisation and make things as easy as possible for our clients to progress their transactions. Our focus is to understand your needs and provide you with the most appropriate advice and documentation necessary to fulfil your requirements in an efficient and timely way.
We can help you not only with the notarisation of your documents, but also with further legalisation, whether by way of apostille, consular legalisation, or a combination of legalisation at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and further stamping at the relevant consulate. If you are in doubt about what any of these terms mean please see our FAQS or see below.
When you have been asked to get a Power of Attorney notarised, you are probably granting a power of attorney to a friend, relative, lawyer or business associate overseas to enable that person (the attorney) to conduct business overseas on your or your company's behalf.

The actions your attorney will take and the legal documents which the attorney will sign on your behalf, will likely end up in a public authority of some sort, for example, a Court or Land Registry. It will be this final recipient of the documents who will request that, the Power of Attorney is notarised, and legalised, if necessary.
An Apostille is a certificate attached by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, confirming that a document has been signed by a notary public or other public official. It confirms that the notary public or public official is, in fact, a genuine notary public or public official authorised by the UK Government.
When using a Notary and sending your documents abroad you will discover that there are often different requirements for different countries. Here is a short guide to help you understand what may be required in different parts of the world, why certain steps are required and how we can help you overcome these obstacles.

Very rude staff, who were unhelpful and patronising. I was also told I could get a scan of my documents emailed to me, which they failed to do.

A bit of a mix up regarding what I needed to bring but we managed to find a solution to ID documents by allowing me to access my bank account online to prove my address. Apart from that, the service was very good.

1 star because we did actually get the document apostilled. If you choose to use this service for an apostille, they will say you dont need an appointment. Request one anyhow! Because, if you dont, you will wait at their door for an hour while they refuse to answer it. When we went to pick the document up, it was only a 15 minute wait, but that is probably because we could see the lady through the window and she was forced to come and open the door. Im sure it would have been an hour again.
Anyhow, spend you 170 pounds elsewhere, having to wait around outside the office while they decide to let

I also highly recommend Edward Young Notary Public. They were extremely helpful and efficient. I urgently needed documents notarized. They notarized my documents and obtained the required apostille from the FCO. At their recommendation, I arrived at their office before 9am and had the completed documents returned to their office by 1pm the same day. This greatly helped me during an extremely stressful situation.

I highly regard Edward K Young for his competence and follow through. I was lucky enough to find this practice on Google Maps after learning that I needed expedited power of attorney services to complete the purchase of my new home. After sharing with him that I would be traveling for a week and could not manage this beyond that day, Edward took the matter into his own hands and not only ensured that I received the Apostille the next morning, but that my certified documents were overnighted to California where they needed to be processed that next day. I am extremely grateful to Edward for his
