Letchworth Golf Club
Located on the edge of England's first ever Garden City, not far from the A1, and just a short drive down leafy Letchworth Lane, the course is set in beautiful undulating countryside. A true parkland course, well renowned for its firm fast greens and tight tree lined fairways, Letchworth Golf Club is amongst the best the county has to offer.

The course was extended and updated in 2003 to its present form and length, and an on-going improvement process, guided by renowned course architects, arborists and ecologists, seeks to strike just the right balance between traditional and modern golf architecture. Our art-deco style Clubhouse offers a warm welcome and caters for members and visitors looking for refreshment before or after a round.
Services
Letchworth Golf Club is very much part of the community and is delighted to support local charities and organisations to raise funds for so many worthwhile causes. Many of the partnerships have developed over a number of years, and the work will continue into 2021 and beyond.

The Garden House Hospice has been a pillar of our community for over thirty years; a place of care, comfort and compassion for patients and families facing the realities of life-limiting illness. The statistics are compelling - open 365 days, on a 24/7 basis; 640 patients a year, 435 of whom have had a cancer diagnosis; 3,500 family members supported with 900 counselling sessions - the Hospice is an integral part of the life of our community.
Letchworth is a progressive Golf Club that welcomes members of all ages and backgrounds. We have thriving Men's, Senior's, Ladies' and Junior's sections that provide friendly and competitive golf for players of all standards.

We operate a number of gender neutral, mixed and single sex competitions to cater for the demands of all of our members and p ride ourselves on providing equal opportunity and access to the course for any players who are keen to buy into the ethos and values of our club. Our "Get into Golf Scheme" for adults provides the opportunity for non-golfers to take up the game.
Letchworth Golf Club, with the support of the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, are proud to host the Heritage Trophy. This competition has been running since 2008 and has proved to be a successful event in the sports calendars of all our local primary schools.

The aim of the competition is to introduce local children to the game of golf by enabling them to take part in various fun golfing activities, along with experiencing the ambience of a golf club. The event is followed by supper and prize giving in the clubhouse.
Within the heart of Letchworth Golf Club exists a Golf Foundation whose aim is to open up opportunities for all our youngsters in their quest to play golf. Named after a former club President, Mike Amos, who gave much to county and junior golf, the Foundation is supported by the club, its members, and many local companies who give generously to its fundraising activity.

I booked a Society Day for myself and 7 others. We had a fantastic day! Impeccable service from Gareth and the team, a real credit to the golf club. Everything was brilliant about the day, the food, the service, even the service in the pro-shop, apologies I don't know the gents name. The course was in brilliant condition given the time of year. A special mention to Esther who arranged it all, she facilitated every requirement we had. To say we were awkward would be an understatement, unfortunately we had a few last minute changes, but it didn't matter as it wasn't an issue for the team. We were

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Jim and Esther for a fantastic Potters Bar Crusaders society golf day and the warm welcome we received. Breakfast was a hit with the lads and thanks Gareth for making a roll to go for a late comer. Thanks to the bar staff who looked after our non-playing members whilst we played. The course is in great condition and greens were running great. The greenkeepers must be busy.
This is a great club and I'm sure we will be using you again.

I attended in an employed capacity as we were running a photobooth for a 60th birthday party, but from what I saw and experienced, all staff were kind and incredibly attentive.
The venue was clean and tidy and was a perfect location for such an event.

Unfortunately your newly employed Groundskeeper chooses to shoot our beautiful British Wildlife for fun. I’m very disappointed that your Club would want to associate itself with this person and would suggest that consequently, others will no longer want to associate with you.

My husband and his friends are very keen golfers, I will be making sure that they are aware of the appalling behaviour of the new groundsman here and that they don't choose to play there due to the killing of a variety of wildlife, why support this behaviour when there are so many caring golf clubs such as my husbands club which is a magnet for wildlife which the players and their families enjoy.
