From humble beginnings, the story of DeTrafford is one of opportunity and investment in Manchester as a city. The story begins with our founder, Gary Jackson and evolves into our present-day goals of building innovative living spaces here in the city. But let's start at the beginning. I have been bitterly disappointed in the property management service provided by DeTrafford since I purchased a property from them. To put it simply, it has been appalling.
They have been unresponsive and unhelpful in addressing any queries or concerns raised. This not only pertains to their working level staff but also their senior management. This is despite numerous follow ups (sometimes with no reply) on my end with various people within the organisation.
Case in point - I raised some basic queries in October 2021 but it has yet to be addressed to-date. These queries pertain to sending across

I paid the reserve fees in 2017 and deposit in Feb 2018 for a unit at City Gardens, which was contracted to complete by March 2019. What happened with the project is public knowledge. The serious delay, since much before Covid, is a problem. But the bigger problem is the difficulties experienced in trying to resolve the issues that investors are… inevitably trapped in due to the long delay.
My experiences dealing with De Trafford is astonishing! No words from the Seller at completion day and for many months afterwards. I was offered an option (out of two) to keep the original long-stop day

Not too shy to commit fraudulent misrepresentations, a criminal offense, to deprive me of my hard earned money.
Details of the above deception to follow should they fail to comply to my final request, after three years of failed attempts, to return my funds they illegally obtained and now hold illegally.
I will also report and provide evidence in support of and confirm the authenticity of the offense to the relevant authorities and through all available media channels.
I will also be appealing to other buyers that were informed of variations to the original plans just after exchanging contracts

I have recently completed my first property with DeTrafford. I originally enquired about one of their new-build propertie in 2019 which were due to complete the following year. After meeting with Dan who showed me around the show apartments (which I was very impressed with), we discussed the options available, size, features and reserving my plot. I went on to pay my deposit and finalised details with my solicitor - which they even paid for as part of the package! The whole process was relatively straightforward (as much as buying a property can be) and had it not been for the pandemic everything

Investing in a property with DeTrafford has been the worst move I have ever made. They have not honoured their investment payout and have changed the long stop date using Covid as an excuse. No progress has been made at number One Castlefield whatsoever. After years of wait, even though it was supposed to be a 12 month investment, they are refusing to pay out and I am now out of pocket. I have worked hard for the money paid but DeTrafford obviously don’t care. Think long and hard before you decide to invest with them. My advice is to stay as far as possible from this company and look elsewhere

3 years since purchasing a property from DeTrafford and still outstanding issues from the snag list. Have been unable to use our roof terrace for 3 summers now. Several unsafe electrical fixtures I had to arrange to replace myself Emails ignored. promised deadlines missed. Once they've got your money, they don't care.

I have just completed on 2 of 4 investments with Detrafford at St Georges Gardens. Having inspected the properties before they were let I am blown away with the construction and finish, 5 stars all round! The rooftop is a nice touch too! Both apartments were let within 2 weeks of completing. Special thanks to Dan and the team.

We invested in detrafford apartments with an agreement for buyback option. Detrafford has failed to pay back the funds due. Detrafford even had the arrogance to offer less than what we had paid. I would never do business with detrafford ever again.

As an investor in one of their projects they have been completely opaque and uncommunicative throughout the life of the project. I now have grave concerns about the project being completed and me ever seeing my deposit again. It was supposed to be completed in 2019. The last information from them suggested 2022 for completion but other websites are reporting 2023. This are just a few of my concerns. There are many more.
