We believe it's extremely important to promote independence and understand that all of our residents should be treated as individuals so each member has a plan of care designed around their requirements and preferences, granting them choice in aspects of their daily routine. You are welcome to drop in to Oak House Care Home when you wish or make an appointment to see our home manager personally.

By contacting the Home Manager, you will receive professional guidance and advice on a wide range of care issues and how the services we offer will meet your requirements. As a provider of Care Services, Oak House Care Home is regulated by The Care Quality Commission (CQC) an independent regulator of health and adult social care in England.
Services
At Oak House Care Home our aim is to provide the highest possible standard of care to all our residents, by providing an environment that they feel is their home. We take the time to get to know a resident - their history, likes and dislikes - in order to build up a picture of them.

Once we get to know a person we can work with them to design care and support around their needs so that they remain firmly in charge of everything - we call this person-centred care.Meals are an important part of our day; dining is designed to be a gastronomic and a social occasion to be shared with friends and family alike.
Information on our charges can be obtained by calling our Manager on 01297 33342. Low income is not a bar to becoming a resident and depending upon your own circumstances you may be able to claim Housing Benefit towards the cost of our charges. The level of any savings that you have may affect the benefits that you can claim.
Everyone at Oak House Care Home has a personal and professional commitment to providing excellent care. Provide a quality of life which enables residents to retain their independence and identity. As our Philosophy of Care Oak House Care Home look at the 'Whole Person' and not just part of a person.
Choosing a Care Home for a loved one is one of the most important decisions you will make. People often have to consider looking for a care home during a personal or family crisis such as a serious illness or fall requiring hospitalisation, or following the death of a husband or wife who was the main carer.
Many people think that care homes in the independent sector are only for the wealthy. You may be surprised to know that the majority of care homes in the UK are owned by the independent sector, and that 70 per cent of residents have their fees paid partly or wholly by their local authority. If your local authority is assisting with funding, it doesn't mean you have to choose one of their homes.
