Services
All dogs are housed seperately from the cats in A modern building of cavity construction. Each unit is heated, insulated and double glazed. Each dog will have a newly built, heated sleeping area which is clean and comfortable with access to spacious indoor/outdoor runs which well exceeds minstry recommadations.
All our spacious, newly built heated cat lodges are homely, hygenic and inviting with ramps to perched bed area, scratch posts and many other toys etc. to cater for your cats every whim. Cats and dogs are housed separately in newly built modern buildings of cavity construction which are heated, insulated and double glazed.
Your pet can stay with us all day and be picked up by you when it suits that same day or even the next day or you can have your pet delivered back to you when it suits you. The thinking behind the shed less treatment is simple logic - the more hair you remove from your pet, the less hair you need to remove from your sofa, your clothes, your floors, your carpet, your car and your home!
Unhappy with the previous kennels I had been using, I looked and found A1 kennels just outside Doagh Co Antrim. I was able to bring my dog up and meet Nigel and have a look around with my dog Amber, to make sure I was happy before I booked her in. My 1st booking was over New Years eve 2009 and the service was excellent.

If I could rate A1 boarding kennels higher i would A small run family business nestled in the heart of the contryside ,close to Belfast International airport and Larne port . I cant thank Barbara and Nigel enough for looking after my 2 Bernese mountain dogs within a few hours of leaving them I received several photos of the 2 boys playing in the… large secure paddock with several other dogs they were having a whale of a time which meant i could relax and not worry about them . I dont normally write reviews but I was so impressed by their interaction with the dogs and how relaxed my boys

I brought my dog Daisy to Barbara today for a groom and she did a fantastic job!! Daisy was clipped exactly as requested and she smelt amazing afterwards!! Daisy was not afraid to go into the groomers as Barbara spent time talking to her and making her settled before starting any of the grooming!!
I will def be bringing Daisy back again :)

After a lot of frustion trying to find kennels for our new dog for a week due to her breed (rottweiler/malamute) we where put in touch with A1 kennels after a brief chat we took her down and nala was in her element, nigel and his wife made nala feel at ease and more importantly treated her with respect, nala didn't want to come home lol , will definitely be booking in again thus year, thank you again , highly recommend

Barbara and Nigel care for the dogs so well. My Bill was there recently for over a week and had clearly thrived. None of that musty 'kennel' smell I've experienced in other places; his coat was sleek and sweet, his appetite excellent, and judging by the photos lots of great doggy company. A great place to trust one's beloved pet to! My former dogs stayed here, too, so I'm a return client!
