An ideally situated Care Home with Nursing offering a high standard of care by our specialist team. My mother has been a resident for the past two and a half years, when she arrived she had a grade 4 pressure sore which I was told would never heal and she would only be able to sit out of bed for one hour per day.
But thanks to the wonderful care and attention she has received it has completely healed and she can sit out and join in activities as much as she pleases. Thanks to the the fantastic food, her diet has completely changed for the better. The range of activities is outstanding too. Alverstoke House is a family run nursing home specialising in Caring for the Elderly who have complex nursing care needs.

Services
Over these 32 years, Alverstoke House has integrated into the local community providing care for many local residents and a lot of our current residents are through referral. We have built up an excellent reputation in the local area. My career in nursing from 1974 to date has given me 46 years experience.
Alverstoke House aims to provide clients with a happy, homely environment in which their care, comfort and well being is of prime importance. Our aim is to provide a service which encompasses all the resident's needs.
Both high levels of quality nursing care but also emotional support in a relaxed and inclusive environment, with emphasis on interaction and two way discourse with doctors, other health professionals and the residents family and friends.

My mum has lived happily at Alverstoke House for the last couple of years. The staff are professional and kind. They have spent time getting to know her likes and dislikes, her capabilities, her medical and emotional needs as well as getting to know her as a person. She is treated with dignity and humour.
Mum especially enjoys the various activities on offer, getting involved with most things. She also likes the food and the opportunity to go out into the garden or sit by the pond.
As a relative, I feel happy in the knowledge that my mum is happy, safe and receiving good care.

I dont know what to say. For the most part the home was amazing: the manager listened to what I said, they adapted to suit my mum's needs, the food was really tasty, the staff kept bringing her drinks, ect. However the night staff weren't nearly as good and they were rough with her several times when it came to changing her or taking her to the toilet, despite her begging them to stop pulling on her or being so violent. Apparently one of them went to hit her once which I can honestly believe with how often the night carers neglected her. My mum says there were four night staff that were neglectful
