John Lake are a Torquay-based Estate Agents specialising in property in the heart of the English Riviera. Established by John and Eve Lake in 1978, our company has grown to become one of Torbay's most respected and leading independent estate agents, priding ourselves on our professional approach, extensive local knowledge and an unrivalled service to our clients.
Throughout his time with the company he has gained his Certificate of Practice in Residential Estate Agency and NVQ Levels II and III whilst also achieving the highly regarded Fellowship of the National Association of Estate Agents when he was 25, the youngest eligible age. Neil has also passed the Technical Award in Residential Lettings and Property Management and is a member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA).

Would highly recommend John Lake Estate agents. I have been very impressed with them. They have made selling our family home as stress free as possible. Everyone I spoke with was kind, friendly and helpful. They kept us informed at every step, and guided us through the process. We were taken care of really well and I feel we got the best service. Estate agents generally get a bad name but I can honestly say John Lake is a class act and I am very glad we used them.

I recently worked with John Lake Estate Agents in a professional capacity as we were involved in a chain together with one of our vendors, John Lake were professional in all their dealings with us, however where they really shone through was on completion day, where a legal complication out of theirs and our control created issues on completion day.

Based in the US, I gave John Lake the task of selling my mothers house. The house needed considerable updating the house and could have been challenging to sell. I can not recommend John Lake highly enough. We have today completed on a very complex move which had lots of hurdles along the way. All of the staff at John Lake have gone above and beyond at all stages. If you want an estate agent who really cares about their clients, then this is the agent to use. I dread to think the hours they work as we have had phone calls outside of office hours to ensure we receive timely information and on several occasions they have delivered paperwork to us at home to save us having to go into the office. They have been so supportive and no query is too big or small

Paul at John Lake helped us purchase a lovely new house which was a big move from Wimbledon to Devon. Paul, and everyone at John Lake were excellent in every respect.
