Terrible company be very careful when renting, or try a different company altogether.
Reply to feedback from Cleverstudentlets: moved into the house late due to it not being cleaned from previous tenants, spent a month with no cooker and hob and had to buy meals to eat which have not been reimbursed as ‘promised’ since october, a broken boiler in winter months for a few weeks, broken and stained beds, desks and kitchen units. Damp walls which were poorly repainted and a massive hole in the ceiling which also postponed our move in. I would of emailed this to you as requested but you don't answer

First time looking for a house with my partner and we were really worried and stressed about it but we came in and had an appointment with Mike who was amazing. He made the experience smooth and completely stress free, we didn’t like the first two places we looked at so he brought us back to the office and found us a house which was perfect for us and in half an hour we had signed a contract. I never give bad reviews but this agency is honestly the worst company I’ve ever experienced. They don’t respond to emails and concerns, you have to chase them for everything and anything. No one has any idea what is going on. Some of the staff are incredibly rude. They need to employ more staff so that they can manage their workload better and give better service. Don’t use them if you are a student. I’m moving out my house and can’t wait to get rid.

We had rats and cleverstudents did nothing to help us with this issue. They expected us to fork out £400 to get an exterminator and when we asked if they would cover it, considering we pay a maintenance loan, they refused and didn't hear anything after that. Moreover, we are paying for a 'professional cleaner' - stated in our contract, and haven't had one since we first moved in (Sep. 2020) and when asked for our money back they refused and got the landlord to clean up instead (Literally just hoovering downstairs, no deep clean etc). They also take weeks to get back to you when it comes to a complaint

Own a HMO? Want to rent it out to students?......
DON'T USE CLEVER STUDENTS!
You'd be better off managing it yourself and not pay their commission charges. Clever students treat their tenants dreadfully and assume because they are students this is acceptable. From day one the treatment is appalling. If a tenant experiences an issue with the HMO it is not rectified. Students find they're better off contacting the landlord direct to sort out issues - preventing faults becoming worse and the expense escalating.

This is definitely a company l would not recommend. I tried to rent through them and was given a price. l also mentioned that I want a short term let. I took the time to think about it and when I asked another agent for these details he gave me a higher amount for the upfront payment and said no we can not do this contract length for you (despite me getting confirmation that it is indeed possible previously) All in all in my opinion they do not qualify as a professional letting agency. I would say don't do business with this company if you expect professionalism.

Arranged for key pick-up to be at 09:45, had to stand in queue for over an hour waiting. When we finally got our keys and went to the apartment, it had not been cleaned properly. Dirty toilet, carpet, surfaces, it was disgusting. I had a feeling something like this would happen, so me and my partner made sure to call them a week ahead of time to ask if it would be cleaned properly (We are both quite OCD when it comes to cleanliness), and we also emailed them about it. We were reassured there wouldn't be any issues. We also tried to see if we could arrange a quick check up of the place a few days
