John Cadby Jewellers was first established in 1985 from very humble beginnings as a market trader, working the markets of Trowbridge, Chepstow, Frome, Tetbury & Devizes to name a few. In 1992 we moved to the Shires Centre and dedicated our time in creating our in house jewellery repair workshop, high-tech computer engraving machines and a watch repair facility.
In 2011 we moved to our new location in White Hart Yard, to provide you with the best service possible. With our dedication to providing the best service and John's love for gemstones, John studied The Gemmological Association and Gem Testing Laboratory of Great Britain's Diploma in Gemmology (FGA) and passed this qualification in 1995, with further studying gained the Gem Diamond Diploma (DGA) with distinction in 1997.

I needed a Gin glass with engraving and John has come up trumps. The engraving/etching is superb and it was well priced too. Communication was good throughout and the finished article exceeded my expectations, given how difficult it is to etch a gin glass! Really pleased with the work and with the clarity on the glass....it is excellent. Very professional and i would definitely recommend.

Would hesitate to recommend.I try to support local small business where possible, however I
took watch here for repair in December.Advised that it would be 3 weeks ish.-It took 12.
After several visits/phone calls I was advised that it had been sent to Leicester & had been delayed because of the snow!
Conclusion:Would seem that not all work is carried
out on the premises and could do more to keep
customers informed as after each visit I was told that they would be phone later that day to update me but failed to do so each time.

This is a nice little independent jewellery and watch shop in the centre of Trowbridge. He offers a full on-site repair service, and is able to deal with things that others seem incapable of doing! I have a watch that I bought in America, and every other local jewellers could not remove the back of the watch in order to replace the battery - he did it in seconds, with no marks on the watch at all! His prices are reasonable too. I've not used the jewellery repair or manufacturing side of the business, but he knows his stuff (unlike a lot of the chain jewellers).
