The Beehive is a popular, cosy, family-run country-free house pub located in the parish of Epping Green (near Hertford). This 18th-century inn is well worth seeking out - whether it's to relax with a drink (supporting local brewery's real ales) or enjoy a freshly cooked meal with the speciality being fresh fish.
If you're a British cuisine lover, come here. The Beehive is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Absolutely magnificent food! Just go there, don't miss it! What you think might just be standard food that you've ordered, turns out to have some amazing culinary twists and flavours added by a chef who really knows his job.

A nice, quaint pub with an open dining area where tables had space between them. The servers were welcoming and pleasant. It was a birthday celebration and the server was very attentive and accomodating. I asked if she had candles and she came out with a dessert with a candle. It was such a lovely evening.

The staff at the Beehive are fantastic and can’t go enough for you! We requested lots of changes to our food and it seemed to be no trouble at all! I’m vegan and they adapted my starter although they have some lovely vegan choices. The food was truly lovely and we booked in for Boxing Day as we enjoyed it so much!

The refurb looks nice, but I feel that it's been taken too far away from the traditional look of an old pub. In my view they should have left more of the beams on show or added some of that detail where there weren't any. But all I all looks very tidy.
Staff are nice & friendly but music was too loud & service slow.

Taken there by a close friend to celebrate the arrival of our first grandchild! Did not recognise it with the amazing renovation of what was a smallish rustic pub. The new look is fantastic, airy and spacious with lovely large windows making the most of the countryside views. Food had always been great with expansive fish dishes as well as other choices. I had a crab sandwich which was generous and very tasty with a salad and the others had mashed avocado on toasted bread with a poached egg and smoked salmon. They both said it was delicious. Would definately recommend it as a great place to eat

Great first visit to The Beehive. They have a lovely extended area at the back with views around the surrounding countryside. We were seated quickly with a drinks order taken straightaway. The food was fantastic; proper real-world British pub food, nothing fussy or complex, and well-sized portions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back soon!

Took my friend here for a birthday lunch. Was surprised to see the changes made. Food was really good but I do feel the extensive renovation the owners have done has taken away the quaintness and country pub feel that the Beehive used to have. It's become a Gastro Pub which has spoiled the atmosphere. Maybe I'm being old fashioned but I did prefer the Beehive as it was before.

Sweet little pub with a great outdoor area and a nice food selection. I had a lovely veggie pie and my partner had the halloumi burger which was delish. Our food had been slightly delayed but the staff were very apologetic and rectified it with a free drink on the house for each of us. The older lady that helped us at the bar was super lovely.
