Norton Joinery
Specialists in the manufacture and installation of traditional, contemporary and architectural joinery. Norton Joinery was established by the present owner in 1975 in a small workshop on Parliament Street, Norton. In 1989 the increased volume of work and changes in manufacturing technology made it necessary to move to a large purpose built factory on York Road Industrial Park, Malton where we are still based today.

All our joiners are trained to a minimum of City and Guilds standard or equivalent NVQ level.
Services
Specialists in the manufacture and installation of traditional, contemporary and architectural joinery. Our dedicated team of craftsman manufacture a range of products with modern techniques and materials, coupled with traditional skills and proven designs. Just a note to thank you most sincerely for all the efforts that you have expended on our behalf.
We manufacture and install a comprehensive range of timber windows to suit any property. These include casement windows, stormproof windows, vertical sliding sash windows and Yorkshire light windows. We manufacture and install a comprehensive range of interior and exterior doors, from entrance doors, stable doors, French doors, lift and slide patio doors to bi-folding doors.
We produce briquettes from our waste timber. Wood offcuts and shavings are pressed together under high pressure and bound by natural lignin in the timber, without the addition of harmful binding agents. Our products are fully finished with a three coat, spray applied, water based, microporus paint system.

If I could give zero stars I would.
I was at work, our joiner recommend this place wanted four pieces of wood for some door latches.
200 mm x 150mm x 20mm they charged my wife well over £40 (she has not told me the full amount) even our joiner said "The robbing *******"
A week earlier I'd gone to Scawton sawmill and got three oak planks , 250 x 750 x 25 cut to length planed and sanded for less than the above.
Lesson learned .
I appreciate NJ getting back me.
And I've now found out the true cost of the timber well over £ 50 nearly 60.
NJ offered the price fine,it's our fault for accepting

We commissioned an oak front door and frame which is appalling and following this costly experience I will never use this company again or recommend them. The door has never fitted correctly and continually swells so much so that it has to be replaced. They could not have been less interested in the problems we were having and said it was due to the treatment that was used on the door! What they didn’t know is that that we know they gave the job to an apprentice to make and that they used unseasoned timber that proved problematic when it was being made. There are two large filled knot holes on
