A golfing jewel in the crown is a fitting description of Sidmouth Golf Club. Overlooking the fine Regency town of Sidmouth the 1889 J H Taylor designed course enjoys wonderful sea views from its undulating fairways, and there are beautiful scenes to be savoured throughout the 18 holes.
The fine clubhouse also provides a panoramic view of the Devon and Dorset coastline of Lyme Bay and beyond, designated as the country's first natural World Heritage Site.Sidmouth Golf club offers a warm welcome to all golfers, visitors, groups and societies coming to play golf in Sidmouth. Amazing views, tasty food and one of Devon's friendliest clubs guarantees you a day to remember.

After playing nearby East Devon, our four were slightly apprehensive that Sidmouth would be an anti climax in comparison.
What a pleasant surprise from the moment of arrival - the bar and food were first class and views of the south coast cliff tips and shores were superb.
The course is very tricky on the front nine especially, it being steep and sloping, but as the round progressed, the holes became more and more impressive. Some brilliant holes, six par 3s, but all very different and some out of reach for a mid handicapper.
Outstanding, fairly fast greens, bunkers in good condition and fairways

On a short break in Devon. Decided to try this course whilst there. So glad we did, beautiful, well kept course with immaculately manicured greens, not a pitch mark or repair to be seen. Not the easiest of courses, we are convinced that the members all have one leg shorter than the other ! 😊 Simple rule, play left on the way out and right on the way in. Some interesting greens to reach, a couple way above the fairway which gives you beautiful views and worrying tee shots back down. If you have mobility problems and cannot manage without a buggy at all unfortunately you will either have to miss
