Following guidance set by the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, and the Music Producer's Guild, we can confirm that Blast Recording will remain open (for professional musicians only) during the time that the UK is in National Lockdown. We will be working from a stringent risk assessment, as can be found below.
You can find the advice from the Music Producer's guild here. Any musicians attending the studio for recording, live streaming, music videos or rehearsals must earn all or part of their monthly income from their music career. It is essential that musicians can prove this if requested by a government or law enforcement official.

Our band, Little Moscow, spent 2 days recording with Ant and Alex. Their warmth, knowledge, advice, experience and amazing technical facilities, made for a fantastic time, enjoyed by all. Given that we have been playing and recording together, in bands, for over 35 years (both professionally and for fun), we know when something, or someone,… instinctively feels right! Our manager and Planet Rock D.J., who produces the Hairy Rock Show, for Si and Dave, came up especially, during our last day of recording and was also highly impressed with the technical set-up, capabilities and experience

Diagnosis 666 has come to Newcastle from Norway twice, with the single purpose to record at Blast. We have made two great records there (The Great Evil Spirit (released 2012) and Apparently Sane (released 2018)), much thanks to Blast.
Everybody at Blast has made a great effort to host us in the best possible way. Adam Sinclair is a magnificent sound engineer. He has a great ear for arrangements, and has a steady hand on everything else.
Diagnosis 666 found Blast because Therapy? records in Blast. They have made 4 records there, one yet unreleased. Their 3 first albums are splendid, and we expect

Wow! What a place. So, for the uninitiated, Blast Studios is a top notch recording studio, nestled at the top of the uber-cool Ouseburn area of Newcastle. Previous clients include Take That, Andy Taylor from Duran Duran to name but 2. Now, all this might have you thinking pricey setup, run by a bunch of achingly trendy people who have no time for us lesser mortals. Well folks, not a bit of it. Yes, the studio is immensely impressive, with more Quality than a big box of assorted chocolates, but the vibe is so friendly, the team are so relaxed that as soon as we walked in we felt at home.
