To get to the bottom of chronic and persistent aches and pains, book your physiotherapy consultation in Ipswich today. 7 physio sessions with Chris over 4 months and I am now completely pain free for the first time in years. I'm now back to strength training and enjoying doing martial arts again.
Services
Chris Spurling is the founder of Physio7. He qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Manchester University and learned his trade as a physio in the Manchester area, treating clients from the NHS, private practice, employee health schemes and Sale Harriers Athletics Club. In 2005 Chris became a Master of Manual Therapy at the renowned University of Western Australia.
Recovering from injury is not always a simple process, so we take care of the complex stuff to make it as simple as possible for you. We believe in a thorough assessment so that we can understand you, your body and your injury. We then explain things to you in simple English so that you understand it too.
Persistent back pain can be debilitating and frustrating to live with. The truth is, it is often impossible to identify the tissues causing your pain, even with a scan. For that reason, you may feel you aren't fully believed by health professionals, or they may have told you that nothing can be done to help.
Whether you're a sub-three hour marathon runner pushing for a new personal best, a Sunday jogger trying to shake that nagging injury or you are just attempting your first run round the block, we believe we can help. Physio7's Chris Spurling is now an ultra marathon runner despite being something of a 'biomechanical mess'!
If you have an injury that makes it difficult to run comfortably, book in for a standard 45 minute assessment (60 minute session if you have 2 or more injuries) so that we can get treatment under way. If you have a persistent problem but you can run comfortably, it is best to book a Runners MOT (90 minutes).

I went to Chris with pain in my hip that had been bothering me for a while a few weeks before my first ultra marathon. Chris was excellent and provided me with some great advice and rehab exercises to enable me to run pain free again so quickly! I highly recommend Chris to anyone - he is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

A few years ago i had a terrible experience with Physio and actively avoided it as a result. i was forced to visit Physio7 before my insurer would consider surgery. i am so glad i did, Chris is great and has totally changed my opinion, even better he has got me to the point where surgery probably wont be needed

I started going to see Chris in September last year due to issues with my lower back. The sessions were really good and I always left feeling better than when I went in. Chris also advised some stretches and exercises to do outside of the sessions to help strengthen and help prevent the issue reoccurring. I would really recommend this place.

I went to Chris with shoulder pain which had become unbearable, preventing me from training at the gym and from carrying my 1 year old. After a couple of sessions the pain started to subside and my range of movement improved after every treatment. I am now able to fully train pain free. I would highly recommend Physio 7.

I've already recommended several people to Physio7 because they are that good. What I like is the attention to detail, the open and honest conversation they offer around treatment and of course their delivery. I feel comfortable and in very safe hands.
I have some very tough personal goals. Chris manages to fuel my belief in my body and offers a treatment according to what my body needs in order for it to achieve the things I want it to achieve. He always shows a genuine interest, he puts my mind at rest when he shares his knowledge around injury and he always follows my events and contacts me

I had issues with my back for years but in the spring of 2019 I reached a point where I was unable to walk or even stand without significant pain
Chris began to correct the tangle of underlying issues with a combination of hands on therapy and prescribed exercises and the pain subsided as my flexibility and movement patterns improved
By the autumn of 2019 I was able to introduce squats and deadlifts into my training - something I had resigned to never being able to do again
Being able to move freely and without pain gives a huge boost to my quality of life and the friendly and comfortable environment
