Services
Jackie moved to larger premises in 2013 and as things have become busier and busier, she now has three part-time podiatrists assisting her in the clinic. All the podiatrists working at St Andrews Podiatry are registered with The Health & Care Professions Council. This is a legal requirement for practising chiropodists and podiatrists.
Our podiatrists are fully qualified with over 50 years of experience between them. You will be asked to fill in a questionnaire which will include your details such as name, address, date of birth. To help us diagnose and treat your foot problem we will ask for a list of your medication and medical history.
The average adult takes 4000 to 6000 steps a day and our feet carry us the equivalent of five times round the earth in an average lifetime. Sweaty feet(hyperhidrosis) and smelly feet(bromohydrosis) can be easily treated with over the counter products. Here at St Andrews Podiatry, in addition to standard podiatry services we provide some specialist services.
We stock a range of everyday footcare products in our clinic to help you keep your feet in perfect condition. A biomechanical assessment may indicate that you would benefit from wearing an orthotic. These are prescription insoles which help stabilise the foot, holding it in the ideal position. Wearing orthotics can improve corns, callus, ankle sprains and ultimately knee, hip and back pain.
Drop in and see us at our clinic at 31 Largo Road, St. Andrews, Fife KY16 8NJ and we will book you in for an appointment as soon as possible. Public transport is easily accessible as there are a number of bus routes to and from our location in St. Andrews. There are bus stops only a few metres from our clinic.
