Kelso Rugby Football Club
The illustrious progress of Kelso RFC up to 1976 is well documented in Arthur Hastie's 'A hundred Years in Black and White'. Highlights in that time were a fine run of success in the 30s in the border league, 8 Scottish international players, 1 British Lion, several successes in the Border Sevens including twice beating the Barbarians at Melrose Sports.

A win in the 1947-48 Scottish Unofficial Championship and the early installation of floodlights are also up there in our great history. It was, however in the early years of our second century that Kelso kicked on and entered a lengthy purple patch. From 1978 on, we were the leading power in the land in the abbreviated game of 7s.
Services
Kelso Harlequins are the oldest youth sporting organisation in the town being founded in 1932. The aims of the club have not changed since foundation with the principal ethos still being the fostering of the game of rugby union to the youth of the town.

Although extremely proud of the international players that the club has produced they are just as proud of the many Kelsonians who may not have been as talented but look back on their days with the Quins with affection. For the last 50 years the Harlequins have been a respected member of the Border Semi Junior League.
At Kelso RFC we work in partnership with Kelso High School to provide players the best opportunity to become the best player they can be. Through team training, small group sessions and specific skills sessions, players are given the opportunity to develop all aspects of their game. This is achieved through the support from our youth rugby coaches and volunteers down at Kelso RFC.
This has enabled many local amateur sports clubs to register with the HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and benefit from a range of tax reliefs, including Gift Aid. The Club is available for hire upstairs and downstairs during the day or night by negotiation. Typical uses are for Weddings, Dances, Social Events, Meetings, Birthday Parties etc and bar facilities with trained staff are available if required.
Our retail centre in Kelso is the perfect place in which to choose your new or Approved Used Land Rover. As motor industry leaders, we go above and beyond every step of the way as you journey through the experience of owning a luxurious Land Rover vehicle. That's why we've been named 'Best Land Rover Group in the UK' two years running.

What a great afternoon watching Scottish borders rugby.
Super club house with refreshments and full of nice people chatting making us feel welcome.
The stadium is well maintained and comfortable.
Kelso won today and it was great to watch thirty guys giving it their all.
Most importantly men not feigning injury or trying to get the opposition sent off for nothing.
Footballers take notice a contact sport means contact not rolling around on the floor over nothing and making squealing noises...its not a good look!
Then after bashing the life out of each other both teams clapped each off the pitch
