Our Senior Groomer and Tutor, Chris, is in his sixteenth year as a dog groomer. He holds a Professional Diploma in Dog Grooming, obtaining a Distinction, City and Guilds Level II Dog Grooming and OCN Level 3 Diploma He holds a BSc(Hons) In Animal Behaviour and Welfare, and followed this up with a P.G.C.E.
Chris primarily works in the salon now, helping others develop their skills en route to becoming qualified Dog Groomers. He will insist this is only to fund his merry gang of rescue and re-homes. These include: West Highland Terriers, Yorkie x's, a Labradoodle, poodles, shih-tzus, a shih-tzu x poodle and a very mischievous beagle.

Services
There is a lack of regulation in the Dog Grooming Industry. This allows anyone with a pair of Clippers and Scissors to call themselves a dog groomer. Dog and Bone Grooming offer training on a variety of levels. Starting with those who want to groom their own dog, right up to qualifying as a professional groomer.

My time here was truly exceptional. The staff exude warmth and expertise, instantly calming both me and my anxious pup. Their knowledge shines through in every interaction. When my furry friend emerged from Dog and Bone, they looked and smelled absolutely fantastic. I wholeheartedly endorse this place!

Charlotte groomed our little dog Elsie today. She was lovely, so kind and took the time with Elsie who is generally very nervous but is getting better every time. Today Charlotte was able to spend more time with Elsie as she was more settled, she looked lovely when I picked her up. Thank you Charlotte

My parents took their mini pinscher Athena for her first nail grooming experience today and she had a fabulous time! The staff were wonderful, kind and patient. Athena was well behaved and enjoyed her pampering session. Five woofs from Athena too and she said she can’t wait to see everyone next time!!!!!

First groom for my Shihtzu today and what a lovely experience.
The staff were amazing with my dog, very patient as he'd been poorly recently so he was a little delicate. I felt confident that I'd left my dog in capable hands today. They asked all about him and worked out what way was best to work with his needs. Very professional and attentive.
A lovely lady Kelly was training and did a fabulous groom, so happy with it.

Today was my puppies first groom so I was a little apprehensive leaving him as it was the first time he had been left with someone else.
Being his first groom it was crucial that it was with people who understand puppies as with all new experiences how it is handled is how the puppy will react to it, and I didn't want his first time to be traumatic as that could be a disaster for future grooms, which are necessary for his breed (Shih Tzu).
Well I shouldn't of worried, the owner had multiple dog's some being Shih tzus and also has trained in dog behaviour, and the ladies were great with him, they

First time at this groomers with my two dogs. My old poodle cross was very very nervous due to a bad experience at a previous groomers. However both dogs were given a friendly warm welcome and entered quite happily. The staff took time to reassure the dogs and me that it was all going to be fine. Picked up two very happy, beautifully groomed dogs.

An excellent first time appointment today. Chris instills confidence in the dog and owner, and the staff are pleasant. I was delighted to have been able to book my Welsh Terrier in and will continue to use their services in the future. I brought home one happy pooch after his visit.
