2 Machs Motorcycles is a small, family owned, motorcycle business run by Isle of Man TT champion, and ex-Norton factory rider, Ian Mackman. After 17 years of competing on and maintaining his own machines, from small two strokes to trials bikes to full blown superbikes. Ian was keen to put his knowledge gained from riding, repairing and racing motorcycles since the age of 9 to good use.
A true motorcycle enthusiast, Ian can be found in virtually all areas of motorcycling. From commuting in all weathers, restoring/riding his pride & joy Yamaha RD350LC, running the local Cheshire Oset Cup trials series, competing in local club trials to taking on the biggest names in motorcycling at the Isle of Man TT.

Now Available, on site, using the latest equipment. Ultrasonic cleaning is the best way to fully clean out your carburettors and many other items (brake calipers etc) using ultrasound waves in a specific cleaning solution. This frees stubborn gummed up stale fuel and other debris from fuel and air galleries in the carburettor which are usually in-accessible.
Here at 2 Machs Motorcycles we are huge motorcycling fans. Turning our hand to any task we are greatly experienced in Motorcycle Restorations. In fact it's one of Ian's favourite jobs, stripping and building a classic machine back to it's former glory.
With our on-site Ultrasonic cleaning service, plus great motorcycling specific contacts for Paintwork, Powder coating, wheel building and all of the other essentials make us capable of a great restoration. As our history shows! Recently we have completed a Yamaha RD350 LC hybrid build from boxes of spares fitted with RD350 YPVS running gear and Suzuki RGV 250 chassis parts.

We offer a full Electronics diagnostic check using our latest Texa Axone diagnostic system. Where applicable each bike serviced is plugged in for a fault code read and general fuel injection health check. Using this system we are also able to reset the bike's service indicator which is especially important on BMW and Triumph machines as previously this has been something only possible at the main dealer.
Why not make an appointment. We cater for standard bookings or can provide a while-you-wait time slot (by appointment only). We use the latest MOT testing equipment to make sure that your machine meets the government standard. The test takes around 40 minutes to complete. Get comfortable watching our TV in the waiting area and have a coffee from our on-site machine.

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality
I contacted Ian about fitting some heated grips to my bike. He answered my enquiry quickly and responded with a fair price. When I took the bike in, the job was done in good time and cleanly with all the wiring hidden away neatly. The new grips work perfectly. A friendly and professional service - I will definitely go back.

Brilliant family run business! I’ve had a full rebuild on my bike and I can not fault Ian on any of the work he has done! Also fixed a recurring problem on the father in laws bike which stopped him riding as he couldn’t trust the bike! Always to hand if I have any probs/queries, no problem too small! I have recommended him to all my friend with bikes and wouldn’t now go anywhere else. Best in the business.

Just called in for some advise and was greeted by a very smiley mechanic . It was very apparent straight away that this guy really knows his stuff and judging by the variety of bikes in there his knowledge is extensive of all brands . Was made to feel very welcome and gave me confidence in taking my bike there to be worked on . It looked like a new mot bay had just been fitted so it's definitely a business that is growing. Great family atmosphere too . Well done guys
