Our current selection of vintage Vespa and Lambretta scooters for sale, can be sold "as is" or with varying levels of restoration or customisation. You can view the bikes at our large East London Showroom which is open Monday to Saturday. We also offer worldwide shipping of our scooters. PROJECT:E Conversion
Just completed an electric conversion of my '58 Allstate (VNA) and all I can say is, WOW! The acceleration, ride quality, and design are outstanding - just thrilling!
I went with 2 batteries for the range. While I have yet to take a ride long enough to drain the batteries fully, my calculations for the rides I have taken show range coming in at spec, more than enough for rides around town. The charger is also compact enough that I'll be carrying it along so that I can ABC.
I was supplied with everything needed for my conversion. Besides the basic install, I needed to upgrade

Bought a classic Vespa recently restored by the Retrospective team. Sale went smoothly and bike was delivered by a driver who was a scooterist himself and was able to show me around the bike - my first geared scooter - knowledgably. The bike has now done a few hundred miles in my ownership and has worked very well, requiring only "oil, grease and air" maintenance. It was a high price, but so far this seems to have been worth it.

Avoid like the plague! I was warned by my usual, trusted mechanic who normally looks after my Primavera ET3 - that Retrospective, and Niall McCart specifically cannot be trusted. I should have listened!
After telling me in September I could keep my bike in their shop "as long as I liked", they then said in February that I owe them £2000 in storage fees.
They now say they have taken my bike to "an offsite storage location" that they won't say where it is - and are refusing to give back the bike. I've asked them nicely to show me where they explained their storage fees to me back in September

I can highly recommend Retrospective Scooters.
I had a motor issue on my Niu Electric Moped. They fought long and hard to get a replacement sourced and approved under warranty, keeping me updated regularly.
They also gave good advice on new tyres and a leg cover.

I have had two completely refurbished scooters done by Niall and his team, a Vespa Sprint and a Lambretta Li Special. Both of them were imaculate (better than they were when the came off the production line I imagine). The updates and after sale follow ups were as good as possible. Seriously, if you are looking for the best in a scooter, these are the guys to go to

Brilliant. I had a great experience with Retrospective when I needed a repair and service on my Vespa V100. It was picked up, fixed and serviced in a very short time. It now rides like new and the bill was very reasonable. Friendly people who know what they are doing and are a pleasure to deal with. Would recommend to anyone with a classic scooter.

Cracking little gold mine, very well equipped for anything scooter related! Popped down yesterday to collect my uncles scooter and Dave took the time to show us round the business and some of there excellent vacillates and scoots and even got to have a little blast on there electric small frame!
Hopefully our paths cross again as I wouldn’t think twice about using these guys workmanship looks second to none!

After seeing my mate's ( Jarrow Phil ) excellent rusty lambretta I called Niall to check out what he could find similar as he had sold me a fantastic GS 2 years ago. He told me to be patient and wait for an Amarican allstate he was importing as it would be worth the wait, and It was ! when I I went to see the bike in bits Niall gave me a full… tour of the shop - what a place, brilliant, I was like a kid in a sweet shop. Bike was done a couple of weeks later and shipped up to Newcastle - Its fantastic, runs sweet as a nut. Nothing less than 5 star for these boys.

Fantastic garage, if you own any geared scooter this is the place to send it. The owner is a lovely guy who goes above and beyond for his customers and his staff are experienced mechanics who really know their stuff. Their prices are always reasonable, I have never felt ripped off. Recently they actually fixed something for free because 'it didn't take long'. I can't recommend them enough and I wouldn't trust my bike to anyone else.
