FD Motorcycles are based in Great Dunmow, Essex and have been established for over 30 years by Nick and Andy. We specialise in British Classics such as Norton Commando, Triumph Twins and Triples. We carry a comprehensive range of new spares and literally tons of second hand parts for all models! Some can be found on our eBay shop or by simply calling and speaking to us.
Reboring - We can rebore and hone your cylinder barrel to exacting tolerances and supply you with new pistons and rings. Cylinder Head Repairs - Valves and guides fitted, fins replaced, threads repaired including exhaust. Exhaust Threads Reclaimed - We can repair exhaust threads on Norton and Triumph Twins or convert your push-in Triumph cylinder head to take push-over exhausts.
We specialise in all classic motorcycle paintwork - British, European, Japanese and American. Custom Paint Work Available - Why not have yours specially painted using the world famous House Of Kolor custom finishes. Harley Davidsons a specialty. Air-brushed lettering and pinstripes, murals also available.

I recently bought a '74 850 Commando Interstate with major carburation problems.
Andy and Nick arranged with a friend of Andy's to get the bike over to them and Andy's done a wonderful job.
He stripped down the… carbs, corrected odd needle heights and jets, fitted new electronic ignition, plug leads & caps and the correct size battery. He also replaced exhaust pipe head ring bolts and it's now running beautifully.
I rode it back home on Saturday (around 70 miles) and it didn't miss a beat.
