Services
Once a tree has been felled customers sometimes require the removal of the tree stump. Here at The Treecare Company we offer a tree stump removal service. We can grind tree stumps out to an approximate depth of 12 below ground level which leaves the ground in a more useable state. We have now added a small stump grinder to the company to take care of those stumps where access is difficult.
I remember once watching a professional arborist dismantle a huge beech tree. He spent the day methodically going from branch to branch, like a spider on it's web, roping down sections to the ground-man, until finally there was nothing but the trunk left. There he was roped to the lonely mast, 70 feet in the air, calmly continuing his business.
As if we don't spend enough time up trees already, I have decided to spend another 24 hours in the uppermost branches of an 80' Beech at The Langdale C of E primary school in aid of Unicef. I was working out the other day I have spent approximately 20,000 hours (over 2 full years) of my life climbing trees so I decided I should mark the occasion by spending a full day in the top of a tree.
Our aim is to combine great customer service with excellent standards in tree work. We pride ourselves on employing what we see as the correct and ethical approach to working with trees which afterall are a profoundly important, and often legally protected, part of our environment. In our work we strive to make a contribution to the sensitive management of Lakeland trees.
