Carmichael Country Cottages, Cyprus, are idyllically situated in the ancient Cypriot village of Bellapais. We offer three beautifully restored villas which are available to let as a single whole resort or as three separate houses. The original Carmichael (Burbidge) family home in Cyprus built in 1964 is the House that Jack Built.
The House that Jack Built was built in 1964 by Richard Carmichael's father, Professor Jack Burbidge. The material for building was carried up the hill on donkeys as there was, and still is, such a steep street to our upper part of Bellapais village. The House that Jack Built sits amid a beautiful garden and is the central house to our micro resort.
