Truro Launderette
There's a lot more to running a great launderette than just installing rows of machines and with well over 30 years of experience and expertise Truro Launderette & Dry Cleaners offers you everything you need for an efficient, high-quality laundry service. We've recently refurbished and enlarged the premises, which are now both spacious and luxurious.

More than just comfort, though, we know it's friendliness, expertise and the best possible machines you want, all of which we offer, whether for washing, drying or dry cleaning. Add to that our hours of opening (six days a week), our friendly staff (the launderette is fully staffed at all times) and their experience (ask them anything!)
Services
At Truro Launderette, we offer a dedicated and efficient dry cleaning, washing, drying and large load handling service in our big 'green' washing machines which help the environment by using less energy. Our large load capacity washing machines can handle loads up to 30lbs which makes washing at a launderette more efficient, both cost-wise and energy-wise, than using your domestic appliance.
At Truro Launderette and Dry Cleaners, we offer a personal and professional service for our commercial clients. If you currently have stress at holiday home changeover days, have an endless supply of soiled tablecloths from the restaurant that need cleaning regularly, or just need a friendly and efficient cleaning and ironing service which will take the stress out of the washing chores, we can help you in any capacity that you wish.
Truro is also home to many art galleries, the theatre at the Hall for Cornwall (which is currently closed whilst it undergoes extensive upgrades) and in Spring, hosts its own week long festival that celebrates the diversity and creativity of arts in the city. Truro Cathedral itself is a beautiful building that sits majestically at the centre of this compact city.
Truro Launderette is open 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday from 8.30am to 5.30pm (closed on Bank Holidays). Last self-service wash - 4.15pm. PARKING & DROP-OFF - we are conveniently located on the edge of the City Centre. Loading and unloading is legal outside the main entrance on Chapel Hill (despite the double yellow lines) and parking is available at the front of the launderette and nearby.

Good most of the time but occasionally it is very tormenting that when you do your weeks washing and you have to wait a long time to dry your washing as other people just bring their drying in and take up all the dryers. And that has happened to many times.

Truro Laundrette is the second best laundrette in the country. First best is the one in Albert Square.

Over priced ! Feel ripped off with us pulling up in our Motorhome - for 2 bags £62 😱 was mortified when my husband came back with washing ( not even folded ) she was very rude even came out to tell us to turn ignition off ( bear in mind there was other cars pulled up behind us ) they didn’t even use conditioner! Defiantly won’t be back 😡😡

Good laundrette with fair prices, however there is no parking and last wash is at 1430 even though they close at 5.30 :-/ Not open on Sundays or bank Holidays which makes it almost impossible to get anything done if you are working full time.

Great launderette with lovely staff and good equipment to use! They have some change and bags for purchase to go along with it. All in all a nice place.
Update 2019:
Unfortunately this launderette has gone downhill on the weekends. The new person working on the weekends is rather rude, it is difficult to get change to use from her, and she kicks you out by 5:20pm! I think they should change the closing time to 5:20pm on weekends.

The lady was lovely and helpful. Prices were really good too. Finding parking can be a bit of a nightmare but it was worth the hunt. They do have a shared carpark but can get quite full and not suitable for a campervan. Will definitely visit again.

Went in to use a dryer. Two women working in there were rude. I put £5 in the dryer and set it to dry. One of the women rudely told me I had put too much money in and I had set it to too hot a setting. I suggested perhaps if there was an optimum amount of money/temp there should be a sign seeing as it is self service. The other woman told me I should have a smacked bottom for putting too much money in. Seriously!!! I think they would both benefit from some customer service training. It would have been 0 stars but the machine worked well!!

After a service wash my new Berghaus fleece was left SHRUNKEN and MISSHAPED by tumble drying on too high a heat. When i complained i was told it was not staff policy to check the labels!, the label indicated that the fleece WAS able to be dried on a LOW heat. I was asked to write a letter of complaint to the management and give the letter and the fleece to staff at the laundrette.
This happened in March and despite contacting them regularly since then i have received no reply from the "management".
Disgraceful customer service.
