I am a Certified Bookkeeper and a Member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB). I am licensed and regulated by the ICB and as such am committed to professional excellence, robust ethical standards and compliance with the professional and technical standards required of bookkeepers by law and by the ICB itself.
Bookkeeping is the accurate recording of all of your financial transactions, eg sales income, expenses, purchases etc. I work with Dext which is an excellent app that allows you to submit your paperwork to me using your phone, email or PC. Regular bank reconciliations mean that your business bank account is correctly mirrored and reconciled in the accounting software.
Workplace pensions law has changed. Every employer in the UK will be required to help more of their workers to save for their retirement. Employers will need to automatically enrol certain workers into a pension scheme and contribute towards it. All organisations have a staging date for when they need to do this, with The Pensions Regulator being responsible for notifying employers of this.
Most of us use internet banking now which is using the cloud. The cloud is a platform to make your data accessible online anytime, anywhere, from any device. This is the basis of cloud accounting, your bank feeds transactions directly into the software within which you also create customer invoices and manage bills - a true real time reflection of your business at that moment in time.
As an individual in receipt of self employed income, you must submit an annual tax return to HMRC detailing all of your income, your total expenses and all other financial declarations. Being a certified and licensed bookkeeper I have considerable experience with self-assessment for individuals in and around Salisbury.

3 years ago I had the need to find a new bookkeeper/accountant following bad service with my previous bookkeeping accountant.
