Once your puppy has had all his vaccinations you are "good to go". It's crucial to start as early as possible as you want to instill all the good behaviour as their brains develop. Classes are kept to small numbers ensuring both you and your puppy get all the help you both need. These are run in 6 week blocks and are held on a Saturday morning.
These classes are designed to help your dog overcome their enthusiasm when meeting other dogs & allows them to enjoy the company of other dogs both on & off lead. Working on all your basics amongst lots of distractions helps to strengthen your commands. Included in block is going on a walk where you can put into practice everything that's done in class.
Some dogs and owners don't cope well with being in a class environment. If it causes you or your dog to become overly stressed, then nothing will be accomplished. Working your dog outside in a more natural environment can make a huge difference and this is where walk n' train can really help. Walk n' train are for all dogs regardless of whether they have issues or not.
Benson, a very large and excitable year old Labradoodle has been saved from being re-homed by Lorna. As his 70 year old owner, desperate for another dog, made the mistake of going to see a litter of puppies without checking out the father! Benson just kept on growing, strong, full of wilfulness but very handsome!

Lorna has been a super trainer- she has taught myself lots about my own behaviour towards my doggy, which has a huge impact on his behaviour. Lots of super tips and training opportunities, with a wide variety… of dogs. Training your dog isn’t just at the class it’s a commitment for everyday to build that lovely relationship of respect with your dog. Classes are kept to a nice number too and very welcoming. 5/5 and happy to recommend to a friend.

It's as much training the owner as the dog. Gracie and I have learnt so much.

I would definately recommend ACES. It is only the second week there with my Border Terrier, Poppy. We are really enjoying the experience, it has helped me enormously with off lead and recall and my confidence. I thought with Poppy being 2yrs old she would be too old, but Lorna welcomed us into the group. Thank you.

We can’t recommend Lorna enough, she is not only helping in training my 6 month old very vocal & reactive GSD, but also me! Which is just as important.
She takes into consideration every dog/pups/owners own individual needs and what will work best for them. No judgement just advice!

Lorna runs her friendly & affordable classes in a huge farm building so there's always plenty room for all the class participants and wet weather isn't ever an issue. Every dog is given the time and space that they need to feel comfortable around their peers with their individual character both acknowledged by her & used to advantage within the training sessions - plus there's even a securely fenced play area that's perfect for your dog to learn how to socialise with others when off lead.

I first attended Lorna’s puppy classes with my border collie puppy last year and went on to do 3 blocks of the next stage classes this year. Both Alfie and I learnt lots and enjoyed the classes greatly. Lorna has a super training style and will adapt exercises to the individual dogs needs. Its amazing to see how Alfie has progressed since starting the classes and would recommend Lorna to anyone, regardless of the age of your dog. Thank you Lorna!

I came to Lorna with a very hyperactive cocker spaniel puppy.
Dougal was only 6 months old and was testing his boundaries at home massively! I had a lot of nights of hiding over the stair gate to get away from him just to have a couple of seconds to myself. Lorna straight away understood Dougal's needs and mine and adopt her training to this. She… explained the training from a dogs point of view which opened my eyes and helped me understand my Dougal more. Dougal is now 1 and the majority of the time will do what I ask (he still has off days) but so does everyone, even my cat likes him know

I really enjoyed Lorna's classes. My German shepherd became nervous/reactive to other dogs just before he turned one. I felt very under confident and at a loss. I live in dundee but Lorna had been recommended to me. Lorna and the classes gave me my confidence back and myself and my GS are doing loads better

Brilliant. Lorna has oodles of patience and goes that extra mile to find out what works best for the dogs and the owners. Great classes, keeps the dogs stimulated and she always finds lots of interesting exercises to keep everyone motivated.
