Wardington House, built in 1785, lies on the edge of Wardington village, four miles from Banbury and junction 11 of the M40. The house has adapted well to the needs of its new guests and provides a home with considerable character. It has individual and shared bedrooms, some with en-suite bathrooms.
Residents are encouraged, with prior agreement, to bring their own items of furniture and pets. All bedrooms are light and airy with low windows. Most have wonderful views over the rolling Oxfordshire countryside. There is an automatic lift to all floors and special facilities for the disabled.

Services
Wardington House, founded in 1965, has an outstanding reputation for caring for the elderly mentally infirm, particularly those suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Over the years we have learnt how to meet the special needs of this group of people. We use no routine tranquillising or sedative drugs.
Three sitting rooms on the ground floor enable individuals to mix with those whose company they prefer. There is a television in one area, though this holds little interest for most of our residents, who prefer to be active. Our carers encourage card games, indoor ball games, music, singing, or reading.
All meals are prepared in our own kitchens with the emphasis on a tasty, healthy diet. Special meals are made for those who want or need them. Home-made cakes are always available. Most of the flowers and some of the soft fruits and vegetables are grown in our own gardens. We have our own laundry. Clothes need to be name-taped.

Went to visit mother for the first time yesterday since her move a week ago. So relieved to see her happy and settled, had regular updates throughout the week and delighted to see her so affectionate with the accompanying member of staff. Supremely happy that we chose Wardington; an outstanding home with outstanding staff.
