There has been a dental practice here at Abbey Road for over 50 years and Dr Diana Spencer, the third owner, is keen to carry on the tradition of a family oriented general dental practice serving the dental needs of all in a calm and unhurried fashion with sympathetic attention to detail. She has refurbished and re-equipped it with the latest technology and it has been carefully designed to impart a calm and welcoming environment.
Abbey Road Dental offers the full spectrum of dental treatments available including adult orthodontics, implants and advanced cosmetic dentistry. Implants can be used to fill gaps in the teeth, support replacement teeth or provide a permanent alternative to denture. A variety of dental treatments that will enhance your smile, give you a younger and healthier appearance and increase your self esteem.
Often painless gum disease can remain symptomless or you may notice bleeding gums, bad breath. Dental hygiene is about taking care of your teeth and mouth through daily teeth brushing and flossing. Teeth that have been broken beyond filling or that have been root filled will often benefit from a crown.
We need to know about your medical history in order to treat you safely. During the initial meeting with the dentist we will discuss your concerns and the reason for your attendance. A thorough check will be carried out, including past dental history. An assessment of teeth, gums, soft tissues and an oral cancer check will then take place together with any necessary intraoral photographs and X rays.
Diana has a calm and sympathetic approach to patients and examinations. The first appointment will include a full set of x rays and intra-oral photographs. Plus a full assessment of the teeth and gums, oral cancer screening and a medical and dental history review. A very high percentage of the adult population, approx 97%, suffer with some level of gum disease.

I am extremely fortunate to have been treated by Dr Spencer for an emergency abscess and impacted wisdom tooth. As a new patient to her practice I was most highly impressed with the wonderful level of care and professionalism shown during the procedure to deal with a most painful condition.

Diana is a thorough and absolute professional. She heads up the small, but beautifully formed, practice with a well honed, mindful balance of efficiency and empathy. She has looked after my teeth with great care; and spotted at once that there was a problem with my daughter's...which her own dentist had failed to diagnose, during an impromptu examination. I honestly, cannot recommend Abbey Road Dental too highly.
