At PEC we believe that innovation is a journey, not a destination. When you buy or rent a PEC weld cladding system, you are getting the very latest, tried and tested solutions to high productivity, high quality weld cladding. Constant development is the heart of PEC's success. PEC are the only business in the world who are totally dedicated to the design of equipment for weld cladding of Oil & Gas industry.
Services
PEC was established in 1984. Since developing the world's first automated weld cladding systems, PEC has been the leading provider of systems for weld cladding & overlay of Oil & Gas industry valves and pipes. Our reputation for innovation is second to none in the industry - nearly all the technology in the weld cladding industry has its origins at our R&D facilities.
Corrosion costs the global oil, gas and petrochemical industries in excess of $1 trillion annually. This cost continues to escalate as the remaining oil & gas reserves are extracted at higher pressures and temperatures, causing even higher wear and corrosion to pipes, valves and other equipment. PEC's automated weld cladding technology is the best solution to repairing existing or protecting new installations against corrosion and wear.
When you buy or rent a PEC weld cladding system, you are getting the very latest, tried and tested solutions to high productivity, high quality weld-cladding. Over the 30 years we have been in business, PEC has pioneered many new processes and applications that are now standard in the weld cladding/overlay industry.
Conventional weld cladding is carried out primarily in circular bores with simple surfaces. The component is mounted on a turntable with the bore being welded centred on the turntable rotational axis. During the cladding operation, the turntable rotates and the welding torch is stationary (moving up once a revolution).
In the welding and fabrication industry, automated welding techniques are used to navigate the torch around the joint to be welded or surface to be weld-clad. Weld cladding of Oil & Gas industry wellhead products present problems due to components weighting up to and over 20 tons and possessing complex shaped surfaces.
