Welcome to Broomfield Holiday Park, the only campsite in Ullapool and located over looking the shores and sea of Lochbroom. Well located for those touring the Highlands, exploring the NC500 or visiting the Hebrides. Broomfield was established 60 years ago by a local family who still run the site.
In that time we have had the opportunity to develop the site and our services to ensure that guests staying with us whilst visiting Ullapool have their expectations met fully. We are proud to offer one of the most outstanding beauty spots on the Highland coast.

Ruins around Ullapool indicate there have been settlements in the area for thousands of years. Viking settlers are said to have led to the village name ('Ulla-Bolstadr' meaning 'Ulla's steading'). In the 1700s the British Fisheries Society commisioned Thomas Telford to design 'modern' Ullapool as a fishing port and this brought in business and settlers.
From the north: drive into Ullapool, follow the road past the high school until you see the sea front, turn right onto 'Shore Street' and then follow the road straight on passing the entrance to Ullapool Harbour and the Seaforth and continue until the next turn to the right onto West Lane. Broomfield is directly on the left.

A great site at on the banks of a Loch with fantastic views and amazing sunsets. The toilets and showers were very clean and the site well maintained. You can't book this site, it's first come first served so you can't always get a lochside pitch but the views are still good. It's only a few minutes walk into Ullapool with pubs, cafes and shops and a small Tesco's (which does run out of beer and some foods). It gets really busy, because of the ferry to Stornoway, so you can't always find room in the places to eat. 2 seals in the harbour.

Great park with awesome views from just about any pitch. Reasonable price. Good electric hook ups. Lovely Irish lady on reception. Everything is a close walk. Pubs. Indian food. The Seafood Shack is the best. Sporting Goods and hardware store. Tesco. You get to see the Cal Mac Ferry go by very close to you.

We were lucky as we had rang many campsites in the area and Broomfield was the only place which still had a pitch for us. The campsite is huge and was packed when we were staying. There are laundry facilities, washing up facilities, waste disposal and grey water disposal facilities, toilets and shower facilities available. All facilities are open to everyone on the campsite. I wouldn’t recommend using the dryers in the laundry facilities unless you have enough time as it took 50 minutes to dry our washing load and it was still damp afterwards. The campsite could do with a second area for grey

Great camping right in the centre of Ullapool. Fantastic views of the bay from the camping and a short walk distance to the Main Street.
Good facilities with plenty of showers and toilets. Also a laundromat and dishwashing facilities. All pitches are electric.
Only thing to keep in mind is that they don’t take bookings, you need to get there and see if they have space. Tbh I thought that to be a good thing actually…
