Touchstone Glazing
Drawing on over a quarter of a century of experience in the craft of stained glass and a profound knowledge of what is crucial to make a good window. We believe we have created windows and doors which look as beautiful and attractive as the original whilst offering the absolute best of insulating properties and protecting the delicate fabric of the buildings making them ideal for listed and historic buildings.

Touchstone Glazing Solutions and it's sister company Design Glass are based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire. Touchstones patented Insulead(R) glazing system and Steelyte(R) opening casements were designed specifically to overcome the problem of double glazing windows in a heritage and listed building situation.
Services
Touchstone has built an outstanding reputation within the Conservation world for its passion for developing and manufacturing innovative products which offer unique solutions for thermally efficient windows, doors and roof-lights. Our glazing solutions not only protect the fabric of historic and listed buildings but look nearly indistinguishable from the original whilst offering the best in thermal efficiency.
Lead has been used in window manufacturing dating back to the 15th century. Traditionally, it has been used for single glazed leaded lights which are small pieces of glass joined together with lead. Lead itself as a material is widely used today for a number of applications and mechanisms. This is due to its great properties such as density, weight and malleability.
We started Touchstone because of a passion for our beautiful heritage sites and an endeavour to make living in them more comfortable. By designing a glazing solution that worked for historic buildings, our journey has seen us help transform listed buildings and landmarks across the United Kingdom. Here's a snapshot of some of our proudest achievements.
We thrive off great service and always aim to make the experience run as smoothly as possible, keeping you up to date every step of the way. Our office is open 8.30 till 5pm Monday to Thursdays and 8.30 to 4pm on Fridays to answer any questions or queries you may have by phone or email. This is so you can come to the offices and workshops and see for yourself what goes on here at Touchstone Glazing Solutions.
When you first get in touch, a member of the Touchstone team will be available to carefully talk you through your glazing requirements and ideas. They will also be able to provide additional product information about our glazing solutions whilst making sure they meet your standard of needs.

We have a team with profound knowledge when it comes to listed buildings, period properties and conservation areas so please don't hesitate to ask for any advice.Should your building be listed, we will provide scale drawings of our glazing, case studies, and aim to help you every step of the way throughout the consent process.

After some lengthy research for windows that would be a sympathetic restoration to our property, we found Touchstone Glazing Solutions online. We wanted windows that would maintain the character and quality, enhance our home, and maximise the insulation; Three fazes on, we are absolutely delighted with the magnificent improvements to our home. Your window installers Richard and Matty were a pleasure to work with, cleaning up as they went along. The whole team have been exceptionally professional throughout the process. Thank you.

Positive: Professionalism
Spoke to an incredibly helpful lady who offered my invaluable help on our Crittall windows. I never used their services, but if there support is anything to go by, I would not hesitate!

I live in a grade 2 listed house in the Dales. Touchstone were superb helping me with advice and even came to a meeting with the listed building people, showing them the product. They even persuaded them to agree to a realistic and more effective gap in the double glazing, contrary to their longstanding stance of only agreeing to slimline windows being fitted. The staff in the office and the fitting team were excellent going the extra mile for us.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends.

Stunning window installations.
We have a church which is now our home. Windows are amazing but have lots of tracery (curly) elements which scared most glaziers to death. After months of research and answers of 'we can do the straight bits' my call was answered with a 'yes we can replace the tracery elements with double glazed units'. I nearly fell off my chair with relief.
Long story short, they are craftsmen and deliver something which is almost beyond words - imagine a church with double glazed windows, made out of carbon fibre, with a traditional glass finish and which makes a beautiful building
