We started Changing Views because we wanted to make homes look beautiful with our hand-made curtains, blinds and soft furnishings.

Changing Views is a curtain making and soft furnishings company based between St Albans and Harpenden, in Hertfordshire. We transform your interiors with hand-made curtains, blinds, cushions and throws, all beautifully made in fabrics to suit your style. Our projects range from a single window through to whole houses - all undertaken with the same care and attention to detail.
We start with a home consultation. Ensuring the measurements are correct is a vital starting point. Detailed measurements are taken and checked. This allows us to work out the amount of fabric and lining required so that we can provide you with a written estimate. This is the beginning of your project.
There is no doubt that adding unique, made-to-measure, soft furnishings to your home will give you pleasure for many years to come. There are so many lovely curtain fabrics - cottons, linens, and silks, mixtures of natural and man-made fibres. All with different colours, patterns, weights and textures. The vast choice of fabrics can be overwhelming, so our experienced team is here to make suggestions and offer advice. Once you have chosen your curtain fabric, we help you select the best linings and interlinings.
The triple pleat is a curtain heading for a timeless, elegant, look; it is often used in traditional settings and looks great in living and dining rooms and main bedrooms. The double pleat, a version of the triple pleat, uses less fabric and gives a more informal look. It works very well where there is limited space for drawing back the curtains either side of the window.
