Welcome to Brooke House, our beautiful Victorian Guest House in the heart of Shanklin, Isle of Wight. At Brooke House we offer both Bed & Breakfast and Half-Board Accommodation in our 7 individually decorated en-suite guest rooms. Brooke House is an ideal location to base yourself for a short break or longer holiday with the award winning Beach and Shanklin Esplanade, which is lined with traditional amusements only a short stroll away.
The picturesque Shanklin Old Village, Shanklin Theatre and Shanklin Chine are also all within easy walking distance. Exploring what the whole Island has to offer is also easy with the Island Line train service and Southern Vectis bus routes all nearby. For those who enjoy walking and cycling, the cliffpath to Sandown and beyond is easily accessible as is the Undercliff path to Ventnor.

Services
At Brooke House we have a variety of individually decorated Guest Rooms. There are 6 on the first floor and 1 "Beach Hut" themed room on the ground floor. Most of our rooms have a seating area. Everyone has access to a fridge whether it is in the room or the use of a shared fridge on the landing. Rooms 1, 2, 3 & 5 have the flexibility of either a Super King Bed or 2 Single Beds.
We are able to book car ferry crossings from either Southampton, Portsmouth or Lymington. The price is usually cheaper than the public price so please give us a call on 01983 863 162 to make arrangements. We ask all our guests to let us know their approximate arrival time. Check in is between 2:00pm and 8:00pm.
It is only a short hop across the Solent from a variety of locations along the south coast to reach the beautiful Isle of Wight and don't forget we can book your car ferry crossing too. Hi-Speed Catamaran (foot passengers only) from Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pier Head - crossing time approx. 15 minutes.

Lovely room with a fridge and our own access. Hana is so lovely and kind and nothing is too much for her. She made us feel very welcome and comfortable the entire time we were there. Covid measures were good and made us feel safe. The breakfast was lovely with lots of options for everyone and is always brought to you with a smile!

We had a large, very clean and comfortable room, with a full size fridge. Excellent breakfast options, especially nice were grapefruit, scrambled egg with smoked salmon and full English. Felt very safe, as all possible Covid related adjustments that have been made. Car parking is available for 4 cars on a first come basis. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to go back in the future.

Hana was a great host. Very friendly and helpful. We had Room 7, which was comfortable and well equipped, with it's own private entrance. Veggie breakfast was good. Best recommendation was probably the first morning at breakfast when all the other guests obviously had a great relationship with Hannah.
