Services
There are several reasons why the advice, service and support we provide makes us stand out from the crowd. We don't just want to talk about your money. We want to talk about you. We place your needs and goals before any financial product or provider; that's what makes us different from Financial Advisers.
Ainsworths Panacea was formed in 2000 to provide independent financial advice to people across the North West. Whilst we have broadened the types of clients we work with, we still firmly believe in finding holistic solutions that better your financial health. Our beginnings can be traced back to 1926 through Messrs Holliday & Pickup in Glossop and 1974 to Messrs Ainsworth, Ridehalgh & McMahon in Nelson.
Ian works predominantly with business owners, people who have retired and those approaching retirement. All advisers must have an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing (SPS). This shows they are suitably qualified and have carried out the required amount of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Having held client-facing financial services positions since 1984, Paul has extensive knowledge relating to investments, pensions, protection and Inheritance Tax planning. Paul really likes to interact with clients, helping them to tax-efficiently enjoy their accumulated wealth throughout their lifetime.
He moved to independent status in 2005 when he left the CIS to join Holliday and Pickup, working alongside Paul Griffin. Ian regards himself as an "all-rounder"; he works with clients from all walks of life, advising on all aspects of financial planning. Ian also enjoys fell walking; he has lived in Glossop since 2000, so thoroughly enjoys the easy access to the Peak District that his location provides.
