Tony & Maria would love to welcome you among the many guests who return to Rhos and Llandudno each year. This small friendly guesthouse is large enough to provide an excellent level of service on an individual level. Tony has been involved in Hotels/Tourism for many years. In the 1970's he ran a hotel in an Inuit settlement north of the Arctic Circle.
Maria trained at one of Abu Dhabi's first-class restaurants and looks after reception and restaurant service. The 4 star Whitehall is a clean comfortable twelve bedroom Guest House on the elevated Cayley Promenade at Rhos-on-Sea, a pretty village between Colwyn Bay (1 miles) and Llandudno (3 miles).

Services
Small hotels and Guest Houses are becoming few and far between. We are small and are still trying to keep standards high in an atmosphere of increasing all-round costs. We need a 'window' each day where we can source local fresh products. This means that check-in is available between 10 am to Noon and after 4pm.
Tony and Maria have wide experience in the hotel and catering industry. Tony has enough tales operating an hotel in the Arctic to keep you enthralled - when he has time. Some of them may even be true! Maria worked for many years in a first class restaurant in Abu Dhabi and oversees reception and the service in the restaurant which can seat up to 30 at individual tables.
There are several golf clubs in the area. There is secure covered storage for your golf clubs etc, and the same facility doubles as a drying room for damp clothes. For the motorist we have a small off road parking area behind the hotel. We are pleased to advise on activities and routes and will print individual maps and directions to locations in North and Mid Wales.
The Whitehall Hotel is over 100 years old and was originally designed as a family residence. This access statement will help you decide how our hotel meets your needs. From the road a 120cm wide path with 14 steps of various heights leads to the front door, there is a steel handrail. Those with disabilities are accommodated in a room that has direct access to the parking area for safety and ease of entry and exit.

Stayed in room 4, 30th July to 1st August, cleanliness of room left a lot to be desired, long brown hairs in several places in room including wash hand basin, back of television hadn’t seen a duster for months, table lamp and luggage rack full of dust, skirting boards stained and full of dust, bathroom floor had not been cleaned nor had the cistern, soap dish or wash hand basin. Lovely front view of hotel but back entrance totally different, full of weeds and steep steps. Breakfast ok but not given chance to finish cereal before hot food served.

The hotel is pleasant place situated close to the sea front. The rooms are comfortable equipped with all you'd expect from a family run hotel. I would have given it five stars except we had problems with our shower but other than that it's a lovely place with friendly helpful staff. I recommend this yo any family looking for a good value place to stay when visiting the Rhos-on-sea area
