Having qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1989, Chris has been told on many occasions that he's 'not like a normal accountant'! We like to think that's because he can explain complex subjects in ways that non-financial people can understand, can speak to directors, business owners or employees equally happily, and loves to roll up his sleeves and help clients in any way he can.
Baranov Associates is Chris and Liz Baranov. We'd loved building the business, based in Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire, to have a team of seventeen and a turnover in excess of 1m, and were extremely proud of the awards we had won or been shortlisted for and the reputation for great client service we had earned.

Chris and I have spoken regularly over the phone for many years. Knowing that the Oracle is there if I need him, with a friendly conversation to boot, is always a comfort. Liz and Chris have been my accountants for several years and they've really shone during the Covid-19 lockdown. Chris set up a call with me to discuss the effects of the lockdown on businesses, and gave me some great advice and things to think about. Always very helpful and willing to provide advice to businesses especially during the recent uncertainty. I am not currently a client, I would look to Liz and her team should I ever need to change my advisors. The depth of knowledge and comprehesive advice they have provided directly, through online business groups and in their regular newsletters has been really useful, its all something that you would not normally expect from your accountant that's for sure.

Choosing Baranov Associates to be our accountants was the smartest move we ever made. We have monthly meetings with Chris, he is our outsourced FD, to discuss the management accounts and where we are against budget. This provides us with greater clarity and focus in the business and makes a huge difference to where the business is heading. Chris and Liz started working with our business 18 months ago when we were testing the water with our concept. Since then we have grown to an established business with constant support and advice of chris (The Accounting Oracle). If Liz was based in Eastbourne I would certainly be working with the Baranov team! I am really impressed with how different they are from the "run of the mill" accountants I have met over the years. The passion for helping is obvious and the knowledge is also there to back it up! If your business is moving forward you will want a forward thinking accountant! I highly recommend you at least speak with them about your business and see if they are right for you.

I worked as a supplier of insurance to Chris and Liz a few years ago and I found them highly approachable, great to work with, professional with good morals/ethics and people that know there stuff! I work with hundreds of Accountancy practices and I can truly say dealing with the Baranov’s was memorable. If I had a business, I wouldn’t hesitate to have Chris & Liz as my Accountants.
